** Looking for feedback, Need your top picks, See below:
I bought some cards off eBay from a local seller, turns out he is a great guy and I’m meeting up with him tomorrow to pick them up. He said he also has everything else (not listed) but if I wanted to get anymore for cash while I’m there he can give me a 15% discount from recent sales. He has all cards 17-50. If you were to put together a list of a few cards to grab now, at a 15% discount....which ones would they be? This is really to flip, and the goal is not lose (Too much) money and hopefully get lucky on a few I already got Thomas/Baller, Ichiro/Ermsy, Clemente/Naturel, Mattingly/Blake, McGwire/Shore) Basically just asking if there are any cards 17-50 I should grab with a 15% discount? I think I might be able to secure a decent price too (recent sales + me haggling since I spent a lot already...then 15%) Last edited by seabass97166; 05-24-2020 at 03:48 PM. |

To everyone that thinks your preorders from ebay are safe, you realize these new cards won't be in hand for over a month? Maybe 2-3 months? How many sellers that sold 25-200 cards for $20 or less that can now sell them for $100-$300 a piece are going to ship those out to you? Before cards were only going from $20 or less to $30-$50 in value. With them being $100 or more a piece the seller is going to lose countless thousands on a single card. For example the Ted Williams Ermsy. These are going to be north of $300 when in hand.

And yeah, obviously every opportunity should be properly analyzed with costs and benefits. Hoping for you (and myself now that I'm buying) that the market continues to stay strong. |

It looks like he listed this for sale on 5/19 & sold all 8 within a day. I mean why wouldn't he wait to get it in hand at that point? Doesn't seem to add up.

I step away for five minutes to answer a few emails and I need to catch up on three pages of reading. How many have we gone through since this morning... gotta be at least 50 pages.

I think at this point with the numbers running up to 30K+ for each card, the cards are not going to rise much further.
The 1st Card: Ichiro, the Ermsy Trout....there are a ton of others....all released in a lot limited amounts, because people didn't take this seriously...me included. If I could go back in time to 3/24/20 and start buying these, I'd buy in bulk. But right now I just don't see it worth it when 30K+ of each card is being sold. |

Ya, there are gonna be some sellers who cut off their nose to spite their face, but there are a whole lot more who will do right. I've found mine and if I go through eBay, it'll be through them. |

I wonder if Topps is doing anything to increase production or if we’re just going to be waiting 6 months to get cards in-hand?
