If you don't shill bid auctions are awful and designed for the auction house to make money fast without maximizing the customers sales price.

While I can't completely dismiss this premise, I do disagree with it to a large extent.

There are a a number of cards that I have had that have auctioned off at prices that have ended above where I have had them listed at BIN once they went to auction - for whatever reason, when some cards get to auction that have limited comps, buyers find a desire to bid which ends in favorable results.

A number of "staple" cards, run to auction at about the same price (give or take standard deviation) that the BIN would suggest which is a benefit to the seller so as not to have to wait to sell and have access to capital.

Often times though, many of the cards that make it to auction are cards that have been sitting for extended periods of time with inflated asking prices and (assumed) inflated estimates on value.

I personally have probably undervalued auctions in the past but will be utilizing them more in the future specifically with COMC as a seller.

and I will continue to buy them cheap and relist as BIN. I have tracked and analyzed tons of sales data to validate that statement. A good tip is to end and relist your BIN cards all the time to have them show up on people's searches. The small cost you might have to pay for the listing fee if you don't have a subscription is tiny. I just gave away a good sales tip.

The only reason to do an auction is if you don't know the value. Best offers make auctions useless if you have just a vague idea of the price. With all of the new ways to see sales history there is no reason not to know a range for a card. Just price it high and accept offers. If you want to just get rid of something and don't care then auctions work. That is the only time I use them.

My shipment of 400 cards is due on 2/7, and it's still sitting at 5%. I don't quite have enough in my account to cover them all, I'm like $15 short. I was hoping they'd be released over time, and that sales would cover the gap, but it doesn't look like that will happen.

For those of you that mentioned your submissions going down to the very last day, are they all getting processed on time?

I had several submissions go thru recently, all finished on very last day.

Why not have a sale on your current port and raise the $15 to cover the fees?

Gave the auctions a shot with the initial launch and discounted fee - very limited expectations and only put up two cards with a total value of maybe $50 and they had both been in my port for many years.
Got the expected results, actually better than where I was thinking they could bottom out at a few points in time - think they both sold for $35ish after fees.

Dropped off much more major offering (for me anyway) with them last week, the cards launched between 2/3 and 2/8 (really wish they would adjust off the FRI/SAT days). Three cards are live with limited bidding but many watchers, five go live this evening the other two are FRI & SAT.

These are all cards I have had sitting in my eBay listings with little to no activity. I am sure some of that was a pricing issue but even after adjustments there was still little traffic. I'm excited to see how they all pan out as there is a large gap between the floor and ceiling - wish me luck.

I have a submission for 3500 cards due 2/7. There is no way they're getting all these processed by then!

I'm going to pass on their 20% off offer. I'd rather have 50% off, if they miss the deadline for my submission tomorrow!

I could see them doing away with the 50% off discount after seeing this email.

Got the same one. 742 due by 2/11/20. Sounds like it's time to start paying some OT, COMC.

Sure, further ruin the faith that people have with COMC. That'll work out good

Rather than eliminating the discount, I'm betting they add weeks or a month to the processing window of future submissions.
