He is here.... finally!!! Great piece of art. Now the question has to be asked.... if someone like Griffey Jr is used for card #193... who do they have planned for for #200? I thought Griffey Jr would have been perfect for #200. |

My 3 Davis cards all came in with bad centering... if you have mint copies, they may have a premium attached to them if there are a lot with bad centering.
As for Griffey, that is the number 1 card I have been waiting for, and I am very pleased with the artwork. I would have preferred a backwards hat picture, but this one looks really good. May have to order a decent quantity. I wish they still made the prints for this one. As for card 200, if Ruth was 100 would Topps go a Ty Cobb or Honus Wagner as 200? I would assume Mike Trout will be a while still to keep people around. Potential guys I would love to see sooner than later be released: Tony Gwynn, Greg Maddux, Mike Piazza, Chipper, Bonds, Clemens, and as a Reds fan Barry Larkin, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan... I guess for present guys we still need Betts and Trout and I would assume they will get Miguel Cabrera, CC Sabathia, Felix Hernandez, Dustin Pedroia with the end possibly near. I noticed they knocked out Victor Martinez, David Wright and Joe Mauer towards the end of last season, so I am assuming those four may be coming unless Cabrera and company think they have more years left. Who all are you waiting/wanting to see before this set gets to card 300 or declines and potentially disappears? |
