I am one of the biggest fans of this set, but there are many instances where it has left me disappointed. Right there with you. But I think what might have happened is related to MLB rejecting Ermsy's two card Squid Game Braves/Astros mashup, which he just posted on IG (in his stories).

My job does require some creativity and I frequently face criticism for it. Accepting negative feedback is tough, even when it's done professionally. I don't personally care that much about having people come by and plug their products here. That being said, if Ermsy or Naturel randomly appeared on the boards I'd love to hear their opinions on just about anything, including other people's cards they liked. That's really true for any artist.

And to be clear, my disappointment is not just with the artists whose cards were rejected, but also those who didn't have a card at the ready, MLB or other entities for failing to approve cards, Topps for failing to organize/structure the project well, etc.

As one who likes preparation, I find it a bad look when there aren't enough cards on Tuesday to throw together a 4-pack, even if it's not the one Topps originally envisioned for the day.

Would be nice to actually have a card of a Braves player today since they are the champions. But my money is on the 25th Betts and Tatis cards, or maybe another Ruth.

Interesting to have a Topps Now-esque release from an artist. Had Houston won, the Braves WS card wouldn’t have simply been pushed back.

Surely he had an Astros version in the queue just in case? If so, seems odd that an artist would go to the trouble of designing 2 cards knowing one would not be released.

Then again, think of all those “what if” championship t-shirts that are pre-made each year (For 2021, KC Chiefs, Phoenix Suns, Montreal Canadiens, etc…).

I’m happy to see McCovey on a card. Albies should have had a card a long time ago so glad to see that as well.

I’m sure the Astros version was exactly the same design with team color changes. So not a ton of work involved for an alternate. Think the kids in South America are getting Shore Astros cards next week?

MLB, or the teams, probably didn’t like the association with death. Would have been better if it was one player playing the game against balls or bats, or something which removed the killing field aspect.

Also, would have been a waste of Ermsy to do two cards unless he is getting some of the Action Bronson ones.

Why have you brought up the Reds multiple times for Dizzy Dean? His Ron English card is of him in his Cubs uniform from 1939. Dizzy never played for the Reds, but Ruth did play for the Braves.
