Thats a solid find. The sets are $40 on DA now. If I didn't have truck loads on the way, I'd probably buy more.

The Bedard Gold parallel did $355 last night. Reds are around $500+. A shot a Bedard auto, something Series 2 doesnt have. I'd much rather rip this set than series 2 and its not even close.

I'm not trying to poopoo Bedard (Im holding some of his big cards), but has anyone else paid attention to his last 10 or so games since coming back from injury? It's been pretty rough.

Yes, the Blackhawks are bad, but Connor has been getting pushed around a lot. He's currently -34 on the season, which the 3rd worst all-time +/- for a forward through 48 games. Someone I follow made a good point, most of the game they're protecting him from the opponents top line by having Dickinson eat those minutes. I'm sure it doesn't help that he's playing from behind a lot, but that +/- is pretty staggering, all things considered.

He's a special offensive talent, but to carry McDavid-like hobby prices we're going to have to see quite an improvement in year 2.

First off, +/- is a pretty garbage individual stat. The Blackhawks are a bad AHL team, it's not going to be pretty for anyone. (the three best d-men all have -20 or worse, and they have a goalie playing 1/3 games with .876 save percentage) So I don't read into his+/- at all. Just by being on the ice on this team, his +/- will suffer.

As for being pushed around, I don't see that either right now. If anything he has been more physical since he came back from injury. His forecheck led directly to the turnover that led to one of their only goals in the last couple of games. Bedard is the least of my concerns with this team.

The team is terrible so its hard to tell, but if he looks like this next year, expect this stuff to crash. Pretty much everyone drops anyway in years 2-3.

Ovechkin had most goals in the league in 2013-14 with 50 something. He had a -35. He certainly had his defensive issues but I'm certainly willing to bet Mike Green & Co. had a lot more to do with that than Ovi did.

I ordered 20 and called UD. The guy I talked to said to send an email and make the request. He said he would forward it to distribution but can’t guarantee they see it or that it will ship as requested. I sent the email this AM, no response or anything so who knows how it will show up. Still one of the best prices online right now. I got so many on the way rn lol.

Everyone and every hot ticket item. Remember when UD brought back PMGs for 2020 product? The craze was unreal. Last spring I sold an Auston Matthews Green retro PMG for $10k. This fall another one sold for $2k. I am not poo-pooing Bedard at all here. But buying a YG in the next few months is just dumb.

If you mean the Terapeak data on eBay - then yes. But most of those (the "completed sales" filter) don't look like they've been paid for (at least yet). "completed sales" doesn't mean "paid for sale" - little bit of the puzzle to "comps" that doesn't seem to be well considered.

Terapeak only seems to have the $900 one as paid and included in their data. Still bananas but not what I would consider market consensus.

Update - looks like 2 show up on TP... needed to pull in "YG" too... so reminder: synonyms matter when searching keywords in terapeak... because people neglect to consider them and prefer fewer eyeballs on their sales, apparently.

I think we'll see $500 within the first 7 days. I think there are going to be massive quantities of these flying around very soon. Demand is high - but so will the ripping and selling rate.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if not... but I believe people's motivation to move it before it goes lower will be stronger than their motivation to hold the line because they paid $300 for the box.

Is there such a thing as buying too many of the Star Rookies Box Sets? Obviously not as fun as opening a Series 2 Hobby Box, but it seems like there’s a ton of value there at a cheap price point.
