I just bought the #/99 Trout now.
This is going to be my first ever Trout auto, and nice to have it as part of Topps Now which I have been following for some time (though I still don't think it is not appropriate for Topps Now to have "while supplies last" kind of cards).

My impulse buy temptation for the dual will hopefully cool off in the next 5 minutes, and I won't have to worry about buying that one...

I just bought the Dual /25... These Topps now seem to hold value or exceed, so interesting to see what happenes with the Dual MVP Auto card

So many collectors are at work, etc and have no access to these... they have to go up you would think just on supply/demand

Once someone can get a dual Trout/Bryant for less than half of this price next year - I would say that these don't increase in value. At $1,000, that's quite the risk.

I must have got the last one...I bought the Trout...was like no way 1K but noticed only to /25 figured I'd not get it cheaper. Wife is going to #@#@#@#@...just had the card paid off

$1k for a dual was too rich for my blood. But did grab a trout /99. Happy with my choice

This is also my first trout auto. Pretty excited.

In order for them to do the dual auto, they had to limit the autos so that it doesn't crash the other outstanding autos for each player. They also had to price the autos this high for the same reason.

Not great for us that the dual sold out already.. Just means next year all the best stuff will have insane prices since they know they can get it.

It will not be a duel Trout / Bryant Topps Now card though...people don't get that. We Topps Now collectors could care less about a Trout / Bryant auto from any other product.

With Bryant a Topps exclusive, I'd guess they are going to pump out his autos and a dual with Trout seems to be predictable and if it's Chrome/Finest versus TN card stock type, then I think the demand may be down a bit. If I'm a Cubs fan though, the dual is the way to go to wrap up a memorable season since there's no individual KB one.

why do you think topps will offer another dual trout / bryant auto? I don't.

I would think so too.
And in the case of this dual, there are only 36 (25+10+1) of them being produced.

But I thought that I would want to hold on to such a beautiful card forever (and not sell it), so couldn't justify the $999.99 I would have to pay now.
Rising value will only satisfy my pleasure of holding the card if I am never going to sell it.
Maybe that is how a "collector's mind" should really be, and I think it's kind of ironic, but that's how I could not step on the final decision of buying the card...
