about a week ago i got a shipping notification for my pardee x griffey brick. it weighted 2.6 lb. the only other time i got a 2.6 lb. notification on a brick was for the don c x canseco. it had a foil. been looking forward all week, just got the package, no foil

108 cards received since last foil hit.

No. I like APs very much, but find it very hard to justify buying the AP if I wouldn't even buy the base card.

Funny the same thing happened to me a few months back. I used to check the weights and first time there was a foil with an increased weight, a few weeks later and same weight had no foil. After that I just stopped looking at weights

No, but to be fair Devers is really the only clear slight.

No. The delta is that they allowed the artists to buy more after the print window closed and erroneously released the numbers before that happened.

I get that Tim's comment was taken as a snarky dig, but it's obvious the cards are similar. Would you give us some insight into this particular pairing? As others have mentioned, 1982 seems rather random for a Hank Aaron card. The card looks nice, but I don't get it.

Been here since the start of P2020

I don't think there needs to be a reason why an artist has to select a specific year that ties with the player. Probably safe to say the vast majority in the set doesn't. A lot of the current players have vintage remixes with no ties but it's fun to put a current player with a past Topps IP. Cal Ripken was really well received in P2020 and i've had my collectors ask me if I could do another version of it with a new player.

Can you do a Mattingly and a Jeter version of your Project 2020 Mariano Rivera card?

That was going to be the one I purchased as a print but Topps never got that far.

I think the first numbers being the pre-four pack adjustment is the correct explanation.

I think Don C bought 616 copies of his Paige card but then bought 616 of the others as well to cover his tracks.

Cards are up. Yankee fans can celebrate their loss with a Judge while remembering the good teams of Jeter. Meanwhile Cubs fans can remember when Darvish played for them.

Max Scherzer is pitching for the Dodgers tonight so of course he gets a Nationals card.
