Bronny doesn't have a single stellar asset. He's not a natural scorer, not a great rebounder, and doesn't have the court vision of a 1. He was originally touted for his defense, but that ain't gonna translate to the NBA where he's giving up several inches to most sg's, and doesn't have the strength advantages he did in HS.

Add to that he's undersized, and he's like a tweener with no real niche to maintain long term sustenance on any franchise save for LA. I don't think there's much LeWeave can do to coerce greatness into someone with that great a deficit in natural gifts.

His brother Bryce has a far better chance of being something.

Lost in the whole thing was the fact that another kid, who could be a borderline prospect and only play in the league for a couple of seasons, would have taken that roster spot and change their life and their families life.

That's the part that really sucks IMO

I get it. But it's LeFossil and I'd make the small argument that he earned that right to flash the nepo card as a courtesy gesture for anchoring the league as a brand ambassador for over 2 decades.

I mean Yannis basically did it twice with far less seniority but there isn't much outrage. And yes, I understand Bronny is probably worse than Thanassis, but that's not saying much as they're both equally undeserving of a roster spot.

The Milwaukee era, sure. But he got drafted and play with the Knicks based on potential. They might have been wrong but it wasn't because sophomore Giannis pushed them to do it.

Fair. But yeah...he's still been unjustly occupying a roster spot for several seasons now and taking an opportunity away from a far more deserving kid whose been grinding his whole life for the chance.

It sucks, but it's the reality of business at the highest levels in every industry.

This is the part that went over many heads from the moment this happened. Fathers and grandfathers have been getting their sons and grandsons jobs for centuries. You wanna work for the family business? You're in. You wanna work in the same trade/industry as your father, assuming he's good at what he does, someone will grant the favor. Getting your son's foot in the door is almost a parenting obligation at this point if he asks. What happens from that point forward is on the son...

A few takeaways from day 1

1) Thank god the Lakers got the Bronny thing done in game 1. Gave him his 3 NBA minutes and now he doesn't ever have to play again. There are better players in my rec league.

2) This is the first season where I thought to myself "wow LeBron looks old". He really did look old last night. Father time is finally catching up with him

3) Mikal Bridges and OG forgot how to shoot. The Knicks have a lot of stuff to figure out offensively with those 2 guys. Posting them up in the corner all game probably ain't gonna work

4) KAT looked good around the rim. Not great as a defensive rebounder but his touch around the rim was solid

5) The Celtics are going to set all kinds of 3pt records this year. They just launch 3s.

6) Dalton Knecht is the real deal.

They're going to go ice-cold in a game and set a record for misses too.

agree.

People getting enraged because it's Lebron and it cracks me up. This happens everywhere.

Good observations Jcardstore. I can get behind those. I think Lebron is done after this season. His last career objective of playing with his son is complete. I 100% agree that it was in the Lakers best interest to get them together on the court now so they don't have to answer that question after every game.

Knicks looked quite the mess. Players are going to have to figure out their roles. They will get better I would assume. Boston was lights out behind the arc. They will have off nights and look horrible. That is the nature of shooting 30 3's a game. You can have 20 point swings in final score.

Bridges effing up his form that much in 1 offseason is quite something. He looks like the wing version of Bill Cartwright out there.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, Thanasis is an s-tier hype man. He's basically the mascot at this point, but even without Bronny I'm not convinced he's the worst player occupying a roster slot. He is at least "last guy picked" NBA player material.

Bron made fetch happen for 3 minutes and predictably it sucked?

AD had to go absolutely off and still LA had only a single digit win vs a Minny team who looked horrible for the majority of the game. They're cooked

LeBron should have convinced someone to be an octomom with some pre-screened IVF super soldiers and then he could have fielded an entire starting lineup with rotation players instead of just one bum son. That's how I know he ain't the GOAT. No strategic planning skills at all.

NoRizzatcher looking stellar in his debut.

Better pray Monsieur Porter Jr's shot's falling, cuz he won't offer much else.

Cade living up to the 5th year hype? Straight disrespecting the hypothetical EC champ incumbents.

incredible nickname.

I just checked on the boxscore on how NoRizz was lighting the world on fire...
all I saw was Black Camba leading the Nets.
