I feel for the people that bought a hobby case expecting much more. There are certain bottom expectations everyone has for hobby products, and this product did not meet that bare minimum.

At least we know how Fanatics was able to seamlessly roll out a hobby format.

Just print the “hobby” boxes to stick the same packs in.

They could have gotten away with it if they just printed the H on the “Hobby” packs

For Christmas I was gifted 2 mega boxes and pulled these, with my 3 hangers I’m done unless they go on sale. Not bad from 2 megas and 3 hangers

I got an email from BO saying the same thing, also said that the credit would already be on my account. Just checked and it is there, so this must really be happening.

It would’ve been nice if the statement provided clarity on why the credit is being issued. We all know that it is because of the Hobby boxes containing retail packs fiasco but not everyone knows that.

There are people on Facebook speculating that the credit is due to the QC problems and they think they’re owed something if they bought retail.

As it is, the statement doesn’t admit to the actual problem so some people are left to wonder.

I bought a case at release at $1,100 so they had to be less then that.

Maybe the seller decided to take a minimal lose and sell below cost. Direct was 102-103. These could be in the 80 range soon.

That would suck. I liked the Judge/ Goldy buy back because they were low value cards that not many people cared much about. Doing a bounty on JRod would take cards away that people are actually really collecting and hunting for already. They don’t need an artificial boost. It would be better if they chose lesser players so that if you hit them, you’re excited. I’m already happy when I pull a JRod.

They’re not going to offer a credit and do a buyback.

They chose to do a credit because they know not even a buyback can polish this turd.

In not so many words, with this credit for TCU and the buyback for TC, Topps is admitting they flubbed two of their bigger releases of the year. Wondering if they have ever messed up so badly in the past with two major product releases in the same year. One mistake I can kind of understand...but two in the same year...
