because Topps screwed lots of people with 2022 Topps Chrome, and all was forgiven when they put out 2022 TC Logo Megas

Topps is forgiven too easily, simply because people were able to make money on Logo Megas

things are going to get worse, and may never get better.

Did I go all in? No, but I thought I bought enough that I was thinking it was a hit product. First 40 boxes from Topps resulted in 5 SPs (2 Witts, Franco, Cruz, Marsh). Autos have not been the best but still better than base chrome RC autos. Best was probably Alvarez base auto. Was Castroed 3 times and hit Eloy 3 times. But have hit enough color parallels of stars to make up for the autos. I have a sealed case coming from MLB store tomorrow and it is going to take everything I have to keep it sealed.

Interestingly, it also shows how some individuals will happily rip off their friends for $$$ (for instance, when hermanotarjeta flipped the Cade NT RPA to his friend). I'm really curious to know how much he made off his friend. What an amazing (and stealth) flipperboi!

oh i still collect far too many things lol

with 2022 MLB products having no rookie cards of note to chase, i am happy to pass on products like this.

I originally only ordered 5 and went back for another 5 once I saw the checklist. My first 5 boxes came today, and I pulled the base logofractor Pete Alonso auto. These cards look great in person

I usually sell cards for about 60-70% comps.

I’m not in this hobby to make money.

I don’t play the grading game.

I just enjoy opening boxes and keeping what I like.

I move cards to relieve bulk and let others make their share.

My buddy will make a killing if he gems it.

Good for him, he’s a good guy.

Buying for immediate profit, long term investment, and collecting without financial expectations are totally different animals. If a person posts that some product is the greatest thing since sliced bread, someone else may be taking that advice to heart and betting real dollars on it.

People will forgive as long as there is money to be made. This product shows how desperate some people were for:

1. A product that was enjoyable to open at an acceptable MSRP for most (I'd still argue that $50 for 10 cards is a complete rip off).
2. A product that could be flipped for money.

Seems like he aims to offset the cost of his collecting. Nothing wrong with that. It's how I operate as well. But posting an outlier sales that's 30% higher than what's readily available on the market is just lame. You only do that for one reason.
