Can you order less than zero?

Does this mean the 48 hour window to buy was just smoke and mirrors on the part of Topps?

When they finally responded to my support ticket 4 days after the initial window closed, they gave me another 2 day window after that, so I'm sure they have plenty left. I seriously doubt if any member went to them and wanted to buy more that they would turn them down.

I was thinking about dropping my CC on Topps site but by the time I got around to it they had processed it already, so I have been kinda kicking myself about this whole Brooklyn box thin, well today I got the box in and I had also been thinking about just selling the box but by the looks of ebay sales that might be hard to do, so wth lets open it ( GULP !!!)

First Card: Tanaka /15

2nd Card : Machado /25

3rd Card: Nolan Ryan /10

4th Card: Lou Brock /25

5th Card : Ivan Rodriguez /5

6th Card: Gary Sanchez /15

So I got a bonus card, and overall I am a wee bit relieved, I don't think I will lose my shirt and I got some decent names that I should be able to move fairly easy.

My lesson is don't do that again, and pay attention to what people are saying about product before buying into it >

Agree that you got some decent names and will be able to move the cards fairly easily. Disagree that you won't lose your shirt.

I think the only boxes that may get close to getting the $1,000 are the boxes with the 1/1 of Jeter, Trout, key rookies and maybe a Koufax or Ryan. So about 5-10 boxes out of 1,000. Not good. This ranks right up there with The Mint. $450 boxes here we go.

This product is priced as if it was selling to the public from their website..
Or priced like Topps Now Autographs..
Nowhere to move them for a profit..
It is a 1 and done movement:
Topps sells it to you and you keep it in your collection. You never lose anything if you don't sell it

Zero chance. Everyone here likes to think as positive as possible when thinking how much of a return is possible. But this is a blood bath, as will most of these breaks be.

What a cluster F. And to add insult to injury, those card designs are gawd-awful and no self respecting collector can possibly want them.

It's true what they say. There's a sucker born every minute.

Yeah, this hurts. I assume you are reading the comments and they sting, but do as you said and learn from it. If you like the cards, keep them and be happy. The real lesson here is to collect what you like going forward.

This "hobby" has truly turned into a battle of will power. FOMO is real. I personally have had to step back this year and reevaluate where my time, money and purpose in this hobby is going. We all love the thrill of the chase. But make sure the chase brings you thrills if this is truly your hobby. I have resolved to only buy products that I am comfortable with keeping no matter what. That may not be for everyone, but I can tell you that this current hobby, especially the high end chase, is a lot like Vegas. Sure you have an amazing night every now and again. But the more times you go, the more times you will find yourself losing. It's the exact same thing with this if you treat it as such. Sure it's fun, but what's not fun is sweating bullets like you did over a 5-6 card pack of ball cards.

Agree. I don't expect to make my money back every time I purchase cards. I enjoy the chase, and there's definitely a gambling aspect to it. But you can play for hours in Vegas for a few hundred bucks if you're smart. You probably won't win money, but you'll have bought some entertainment. To me, the Brooklyn Collection is like putting a $500 coin into a slot machine. (I used $500 on the assumption that ROI on $1,000 is 50%.) It's over in seconds, and most likely you'll lose it all. On top of that, at least with the slot machine there's a possibility of a huge hit. I don't see a lot of huge hits to chase in this product. The bottom line is I'd rather open a case or two of another product and chase some bigger hits. My ROI might be the same, but at least it will give me a few hours of entertainment. Not a few seconds.

I ordered a box like a dummy. It is suppose to come today. I will probably sell it at a loss. Hopefully not to bad of one if that 15% Ebay coupon is valid on Sunday.
