^ I've always loved Gordon. People's memories are very, very short.

Crazy recent game again from Westbrook, but again, it's funny that the media didn't really celebrate it as much just because he was a couple rebounds and passes away from a triple double.

The best was how Westbrook himself said he was sick and tired of the triple double talk. Pretty funny timing since that's what this thread really devolved into for pages and pages.

Only "a couple" injury filled seasons?

Obviously you don't like him and I'm assuming you're a Warrior fan because I think I've seen ya post in that thread. Doesn't it annoy you when people troll that thread after every loss? I guess I just don't understand why people go to threads to crap all over fans of a player when they are just simply enjoying the season Russ is having. (and I think it's equally annoying for people to troll the Warriors thread to and I'm not a fan of them) Nobody is saying OKC Finals, or anything, in a pretty mundane predictable season where odds are it's Cleveland vs the Warriors again, it's nice to see the kind of games Harden and Russ are both putting up on a nightly basis. I know you can post whereever you want, I was just curious why this thread?
I think Westbrook is ridiculously overrated and I like to remind everyone the guy is a ridiculous ballhog. This guy is a bigger ballhog than peak Kobe.

That's an opinion not based in fact. You're full of those.

Please explain away the 10.3 assists per game, 2nd in the league in that category.

His usage rate this year is 4% higher than the next highest individual season for a player in the last 25 years?

His assists to usage rate dwarfs anyone on that list. Please explain that.

Have you watched Eric Gordon's game, at all?
Gordon is a shooter. He's a pure breed shooter who is limited at driving to the basket. He's not ryan Anderson immobile, but he defiantly isn't a shot creator. Gordon is also injury prone and I think him being a shooter will help his injury/career output.
This season Gordon is averaging 3.8 three made per game on a .418 average shooting 3 pt percentage. It's his most threes taken per game on a season to season basis, but he's drilling them at a higher clip overall. His average is .387 3pt shooting average and making nearly 30 more per 1000 is a lot.

In all, I think Gordon is doing much more for his team when harden is ok the court with him.

He's forced to pass when he drives into the lane at times.

Having a high assist total doesn't negate being a ballhog. Kobe was a ballhog and averaged 5 assists per game for his career. Allen Iverson was a ballhog and averaged 6 assists per game for his career. Ballhogs can usually rack up assists, not quite the level of Westbrook, but I have my own thoughts on that.

Do those thoughts start out with: "I don't like Russell Westbrook"?

5 or 6 assists per game isn't racking up assists.

If anything that would be on the rebound front, not assists.

Which is it on the assists? He passes the ball to hunt stats, or passes the ball because he is a ball-hog who is only forced to because he didn't have an open shot in the lane? Those are two totally different basketball scenarios.

It can be both, bud.

You spout your opinions like they're truth.

I get the feeling you don't watch any OKC games.

Your narrative is actually this: "I don't like Russell Westbrook. I failed to invest in him, so it's a bit frustrating to watch his cards triple in price since the beginning of the year. Although there are no actual facts that support my claims, I'm still going to push my anti-WB agenda in any way I can, to hopefully, even minutely, devalue the unprecedented accomplishments of his this year."

You think I'm mad because I didn't invest in his cards? I don't 'invest' in cards, the closest I've come is having a PC for Draymond Green that I sold because his stuff blew up, but I could care less that I didn't bank on his cards. LMAO

Nice talk, bud.

Dude, it does no good arguing this guy with logic.

Best case scenario is you clearly prove your point and he goes away for a while, like he did after Game 7 last year.

You Westbrook fans....

Seems to me like it's the Michigan State-Michigan inferiority complex. Always something to prove.

Common around East Lansing.

Guess so...i agree with you though..the serious best thing to do is ignore him and people like him. Its not like arguing will ever change his mind. Let him have his fun reminding us how much Westbrook is overrated every day and just ignore it. He wants the reaction. Its cliche but he wins when you respond to his posts

Tis ironic much of the Westbrook criticisms in this thread happen to be coming from Golden State fans. Whom, ironically enough, now seem to tout Durant as being a Demigod of sorts and leagues better from an individual standpoint based on 'team' record comparisons.

The same guy who bricked like 4 free throws in the final 2 minutes against Memphis.

This is some fun rhetoric.
