Good luck with paying a premium on SGC and having it work out for you when selling the card in the same holder. It could happen, I would be against it though. I'd buy an SGC card, but only after checking out the card itself, and not with any plans to resell it in an SGC holder. I also wouldn't pay a large premium (or maybe any) over a clean raw card.

Agreed the downtown card is really expensive. And to be honest, not my favorite looking card. They could have done so much better with it. But it is artsy. I believe it was one downtown card per hobby case? There are only 13 graded by PSA total. So pretty tough card.

Kaboom is another one. Not my cup of tea but some people love them.

Thinking about buying a Mahomes Silver Prizm PSA 10. Last few went $2900 - $3k+, but not sure if some of those were shilled. At what price would you consider it a no-brainer to buy? Of course there's risk, but wondering where people would be buying right now.

They are not skilled. I just sold one to someone for $2925 off eBay.

Saw this SGC 10 silver prizm traded tonight. Looks like it traded at a ~30% discount to PSA 10, but on par (or at slight premium) to recent BGS 9.5 trades. Only one trade, but interesting nonetheless.

The Downtown were indeed case hits in Donruss, adding in that a case is 16 boxes and Downtown is a 20 card set, so definitely not a ton floating around. Kamara had a Downtown in 2019 Donruss, and it was a long time before I even saw one pop up on ebay. I've probably only seen a handful show up since release. Whoever bought the PSA Mahomes one back in February got a STEAL, even if it was a 9.

The back lower-left corner on that SGC looks iffy, along with a faint dimple in the usual spot. Someone would take a bath if it is a PSA 9 on a regrade.

Agreed. That corner takes it to a 9 and someone is not too happy.

I found the info in my emails, sorry but the card was not “lost”, it was an “unexpected family emergency”, maybe It was?, please judge yourself.

Purchased the card 9/7, nothing happened and I asked for tracking. Seller retro_collectibles23-8 replied until 9/12 saying he was out of town but just got back and he would ship the next day. Then he shared tracking number. I didn’t see any movement and asked again and until 9/18 he said he was going to refund due to a family emergency and was incapable of shipping any time soon. I said honestly, I could wait for ever lol. But without any additional communication he issues refund via e-check on 9/20. The check was declined by the sender bank and has to open a case with eBay. No communication at all and eBay decided on my favor 9/30 and got my money back.
