What a set Topps has going here. Same 30 players just traded off between 51 artists.

Default Topps Project 2020 is the worst product since 1991 Fleer

They’re zubaz pants. In the early 90s everything looked like that.

I refined my list before the drop. 2/4 - called Soto/Ohtani but whiffed on '52 Mantle and Tatis so we'll get those tomorrow (along with a Vladdy and Griffey).

One of these days, one of us will correctly guess all 4!

And a pass on today's cards, 1 for 8 so far this week.

Who gets to 20 cards first? Tatis, Ohtani, or Betts?

Easy pass today. The passing is getting easier by the day.

That's 3 straight days with an Ohtani, and 4 of the last 5 days. Are those of you collecting an Ohtani player set feeling any burnout?

If there is, the print runs aren’t showing it.

That's a good point.

I think yesterday's Ermsy was the best of the 4. I don't care for what McCormick and Simkins are doing, and while I haven't enjoyed much of CES either, I think his Ohtani last week was up there with his best.

Truth.

I'm 1 out of the last 40 right now and feeling exhausted with P70. I know we aren't beholden to buy anything we don't like, but the vast sea of mediocre cards and the boring, predictable player selection really hurts perception of the set. I assume the large gap in card production for some artists means they're bored with it too. Too much bloat.

McCormicks best card yet, and maybe the 2nd best Ohtani so far behind Ben Ballers.

I like the look of SoleFlys Soto, but I am confused, has a hockey puck been pitched to him and thats what he is hitting??

15 active clubs have fewer than 10 cards.

Yankees have more than 100. Dodgers will soon hit 50. The disparity is pretty stark when you look at them on a list. Mariners are odd in they are 5th in number of cards but have had none in August.

I know it has been said before but your site is awesome Gumstickstudios.

Also, as an aside on Project 2020. I’m finding it easier and easier to purchase cards for less than $7, including shipping.

What's in store for tomorrow?

Probably due for a Mantle, Vlad Jr., Betts and a cobbled together Cabrera (due to oversight/PR move)

None of the cards will reflect the designs they're intended to represent

Bubble era? Post-bubble? That's demoralizing.

I actually really like the Ohtani and Soto today, but I just can't do it.

Let my Siff run expire too with the Babe Ruth last week.

No longer collecting any artist sets.

Topps should have released a checklist by player, artist and year when this thing was announced. Minor modifications could have been made due to breakout star, player being signed etc but it seems to be devolving quickly

I think they still have a ways to go before bottoming out. The early "low" print run numbers are looking more normal by the day. And then you have 1/4 of the set with print runs above 10K... way too much supply with little to no demand.

I seriously wonder if any contributor will just bail on this. Bronson and Bobby Hundreds sure don't need whatever royalties they get on 1200 PRs for their final 12 or 13 P70 cards.

I’ve assumed Bronson is one of the artists who completed their sets a long time ago.

All depends on which cards, I'm sure cards like Shore Griffey, Don C Ripken, Baller Jeter , and every Trout minus the Ermsy can be found for next to nothing due to how high the print runs were
