Best hit was a US250 rainbow foil

Breakdown of the rest:
* US250 base x4
* US300 base x3
* US104 base x3
* US252 base x2
* Acuna Salute x1
* Soto 1983 x1
* Autos were Lin and Neshek /99
* Best "relic" was a Jeter Postseason red /25

Nice foil

A hanger reaching $175 (plus tax, on an auction) is well worth talking about

There’s also a jumbo box ending shortly, it’s hoody consignment though, that could help or hurt it

The last four sales on eBay have been $1,050 to $1400. I wish more would get the word out about myslabs as it helps everyone out. eBay at a $1,050 sale after fees he clears $900 plus shipping. If this was on myslabs he could have sold it for $1000 and cleared $960 after fees plus shipping. Everyone wins in that scenario.

I also don’t typically bid on any major consignment auctions, my fear is I’m just driving up the price with no real chance to win, and i fear that it scares others off as well. I know this wasn’t PWCC or Probstein but i still think some people see that little logo in the corner and just wait to see what it goes for.

Either way nice grab MM!

From the perspective of the buyer, it was a minor deal. I paid $1,090/ea for the "distressed" jumbos I mentioned earlier, so I feel good about getting this one in much better shape for less. The other Best Offer listings I had been unable to get a price below $1,400 so maybe they'll come down a bit now.

I’m happy you got a deal, but my “hopefully” is prices will continue to rise.

I'm with you Wil--I'm done opening and will hold that box to go along with my hobby box, retail box, and hanger sleeve. These will continue to rise for sure--I just think there may be a bit of a gap right now on the jumbos. My opinion is $1,250-1,300 is probably the right price at the moment.

Wish i bought more hanger sleeves when they were like $600-700 earlier this year. Now it seems like 1200-1500 is gonna be the range.

Nothing is a "sure thing" with prices so high right now, but I think 2018 Update is as close as you can get to it.

Mantle, Ruth, and 2018 Update.

So I just moved to my new home, and unpacked/organized everything, I decided to open a few packs of my 2018 update to celebrate, 2 were duds, but the first pack I opened had these beauties in there:

I saw the Ichiro, and I knew Soto was next...
And about 5 cards later, the Acuna. The fat pack also had a gold card and a foil card.
I think both may grade well, needless to say, I'm pretty happy

So it seems hobby boxes are now selling for higher than jumbos... hobby overpriced or jumbos undervalued? Interesting...

I'm not sure this is a thing - all but one of the last few jumbos that went "lower" had damage to the boxes. And the last hobby box that looks as if it were sold for $1100 was mine and it sold for $1000 - i raised the price to $1100 after that so it is deceptive.

With that said, I'm also not convinced it isn't heading in the direction you state - will be worth watching.

Found a box the other day with a bunch of "star" RCs that I had sleeved I guess in summer 2019? Had about a dozen Bieber and Soroka each, and half a dozen Soto and Acuna inserts. That was nice

I'm done buying jumbos, but it's a good time to buy before the effect of those damaged boxes reverses. I got a jumbo in good shape for $1,025 last week and then one went Sunday night for just a bit more than that with a slightly crushed corner. These will be over $1,200 again soon.

If I was a seller, I would not do a jumbo auction until the comps look better.

I didnt see anything out of line, I always look for burn marks or sketchy applications to reseal it

Problem is - do I file for a refund or will this get my flagged by ebay? I just returned a item over a month ago for the same reason although it was a resealed hanger box

Assuming you've had other transactions since then, I wouldn't sweat it. They want you to be happy--they understand if you don't trust the sellers and think you will be conned without recourse, you'll stop buying.
