If the Thiele Trout can bank $100 with a 10k+ print run, at this rate the Don C Thomas “Rookie” will be primed for an explosion once some of his other cards come out right? Doesn’t Don C have a big real life following?

Even though the Thiele Trout print run is high, there's only enough for about 1 in every 25,000 people in the US to have one. From the supply/demand perspective, we will see over $100 for the Thiele Trout. $200 is what I'm really curious about.

Not sure about Don C. Think it can certainly move.

Thomas' Ben Baller feels like the next explosion. Gooden's PR will be large and Ballers large PR will stay consistent, leaving only 2 Baller cards under 10k- Ichiro and Thomas.

Efdot’s Ryan is at $200 now. I wonder who in general is buying up these cards at such a ridiculous rate. I got into this set around May 8th and the buying velocity was nowhere near what it is now. It’s simply amazing to see

Probably go over 20000 eBay sales today

2 weeks ago when I noticed it was at 7000

Almost 1000 cards a day are selling eBay

The amount of people that are involved is high

Plus print runs for most cards over 10000 now

It’s hard to believe. But this is happening because it’s a beautiful product and 1000s of people want in. For collecting or for flipping

I also believe there are a lot of people involved who could care less about baseball cards

Def this, its not so much the card its the artist + player and it hits so many demos. I bet a lot of baseball fans will want the blake McGwire, and a lot of hip hop fans want the Baller Gooden etc

Probably only a few people on each card on want to monopolize the market.

At this point, collectors have had their chance and probably bought the ones they missed initially that they wanted. Those cards are effectively out of circulation barring a price too good to pass up.

Once there's only a couple hundred left on eBay, it's very easy to buy up the stragglers at a little higher price. If you buy 100 Thiele Trouts at 35 and then let's say you got 100 more at 65 last night, you're still averaging 50 per card. For the flippers, if they move all 200 cards for 100 or more...they've still doubled their money overall.

I suspect there's a rise in general interest regarding Project 2020 contributing to a rise in prices, but that's being expedited by market manipulation.

I think there's also an element of a lot of us grew up with many of these cards which we loved, but are basically worthless and now here's a version that's super unique and rare.
