And that just goes to show you how bad Hicks and Donaldson are.

Absolutely. Especially JD beasue of his defense and bounceback 'potential'.

And plenty of other teams need vet outfielders.

So now that the Angels sale is off the table, does Cashman call them up again to inquire about an Ohtani trade. I mean we do need a pitcher and they were looking at a trade last season.

Yea but that would mean that Stanton would have to consistently play the OF and I just don't think the Yanks front office would do that.

The Angels should definitely trade Ohtani, though. Just like they should've traded Trout. They've proven that they are not able to develop talent evey year so they need to get it from somewhere else which leaves FA or trade. Recent history has shown that they can easily be outbid by a large market team so now trading is the only option. A full year of Ohtani will easily land you a contender's top 3 prospects plus some. I just don't think the Yankees are the fit due to their current roster construction and the prospects that they seem to be desperately relying on.

Unless Stanton was part of the trade.

Seeing as how they wouldn't include Volpe to get Castillo last year, I believe you may be correct. I can see Dominguez going, but I'm not sure the Angels would do the trade without Volpe.

If anyone here is interested, American Dream Mall in Jersey is having a big Yankee signing and card show next weekend. I was thinking of getting the tickets to meet Rivera and O'Neill.

Maybe if we showed those 2 horrific plays in left field from last year on a constant loop Yankees ownership might get the message.

Since my Son likes the Blue Jays, I bought tickets for the spring training game against them on the visitors side of the field in Steinbrenner Field which just happens to be left field. If Hicks is out there playing, I'm going to boo him all game long.

What’s funny is it doesn’t even matter booing these guys. At the end of the day they check their bank account and smile.

YES Network reportedly to offer direct-to-consumer streaming service

Quote:
The YES Network is hoping to be able to provide a direct-to-customer streaming service by the start of the season that will allow fans to be able to watch the network and games without a cable subscription. Currently, there are ways to stream YES games, but you typically need access to cable to get it, which can be an issue for the cord-cutters among us.

The key question is the price

Makes zero sense for me to subscribe since I already get it through cable. Now if they offered to show every Yankee game on the streaming service and not on the cable version, I might think about it depending on price.

The bills we pay for Disney+, Netflix, Paramount+, and Peacock say otherwise.

Apparently, it's only available for in-market areas. So that's a no-go for me and I will have to continue with the BS that is MLB.tv

Keeping Chad Green is a tough call. He's 32 now and his velocity deminished before the injury, and who knows what he'll be like whenever he returns. I'm not really losing sleep over it.
