Yeah, it’s like he took the wrong message by his bad manager/player choices. His newer cards don’t stand out from others like his original style did.

Yes they are and it means 1 for 20 this week for me. Also not a fan of Fucci's new style, his set will look very strange when complete. Shoe Surgeon's is cool, but not collecting him.

I liked new style Fuccis Ruth, and while this Hank Aaron is not a bad looking card by any means, its also not very exciting or intriguing. Also feels like its treading into New York Nicos graphic design territory (granted without a Yankee).

Doc C Lewis: Fun graphical nod to De La Souls album artwork, but that is a very random and untethered connection.

Shoe Surgeon Padres Team Card: Im not a fan of modern comics covers, and this has all the trappings that I dont like. But there is a hell of a Comic Book Cover subset someone could form at this point.

Morning Breath Bellinger: Run of the mill M.B. card at this point, which is fine because they always look nice and will be a handsome set, but nothing stands out with this one. Bellinger has a look on his face like he is seeing his dad on the street with another woman or something.

I hope he can stay healthy. Unfortunately, he hasn’t stayed healthy in the minors nor the majors up to now. He is a lot of fun when he plays. Flashbacks of Franklin Gutierrez being fun but always hurt.

I feel bad for Fucci collectors. I would be upset if I was collecting an artist’s set and he or she completely changed the set’s aesthetics so far in.

This week was by far the most boring week for me as far as releases go. Only 31 more ho-hum weeks to go if they keep it at four a day, which pushes this set into mid-February 2022. Has anyone heard if they will go to five cards a day at some point? Otherwise they should change the name to Project 70/71.

Depending on how they plan to continue this revenue stream next year, it might be better for them to go down to 3 a day.

Topps has really been pushing more and more on demand and buy directly from them products. I don’t see them wanting to rush Project 70 to finish early. Not unless they need it for fourth quarter revenue.

honestly, i have a few sets going that i would not be at all upset if the artist change up style like half way through. blakes set is becoming very boring, i would like to see his style change half way. i know naturel is commited to his background, but i wouldn;t be at all mad if he changed. i would not be mad if ron english chose a set other than 70 topps for his second half.

the fucci change is pretty drastic i guess. it would be like jk5 doing a water color card out of nowhere.
