WTF.

In December, when I sent in 3 batches of cards, I decided to throw in a couple comic books I had purchased on the recommendation of some BO members (The Humans, first edition). Upon receiving the comic books, COMC determined that they were not appropriate (I should have realized this, but had left the comic books in their original packaging and didn't notice some "inappropriate" imagery on the cover). So, COMC declined them. Now, two months later, I just received notification that "processing is complete" for that order, and that I was charged $10. I don't even understand where they came up with that figure, as processing for comics is $1-$3. Also, don't they normally not charge for declined items? Can anybody tell me where this BS charge comes from?

I sent an email a few days ago about the November batch asking for partial refunds. We shall see Still waiting on mine!

Here is my guess: my dad accidentally purchased a little vacuum cleaning and had it shipped to my COMC box. They charge a $10 fee for anything that can't be processed. Unfortunately, I am guessing that is what they charged you. STUPID!

I have never been charged for anything that was declined before?

I was just wondering; there's always a chance that your cards are at the COMC offices but there could have been some issue when they were received by the COMC staff, like what happens with redemptions that arrive but are unattached to any specific user.

So, your cards could have shown up, but didn't have your name attached to them, so the cards are just sitting on someone's desk, waiting to be claimed.

Just a thought...

I doubt this only because it seems that everyone's grading submission from November has not been put back into their accounts.

Hmmm, interesting. Thank you both for the info. I sent them a reply email. Will expect a response some time next year if I don't follow up.

Really? I didn't realize it was that widespread. In that case, it might be a BGS issue? Or a whole shipment from BGS to COMC got lost/misplaced. Either way, it sucks out loud.

I submitted my COMC grading order at the end of November. I'm guessing it was sent in early December to BGS. If the package is lost or misplaced I wish they would admit it or just say something. This whole now it is 3 months thing bothers me...especially since they never mentioned that grading orders done after mine in December have been returned...I wanted to grade a bunch of cards thru them...since I have a lot of credit. It seems lately they just seem more shady. The only way I get answers on problems is by asking...they should just send an email to everyone who has delayed grading orders and admit their is a problem and what that problem is...

I've just emailed them on this subject. I've now got cards back I submitted from Canada a full MONTH after my November 16th submission (which were all in the Washington warehouse). Unacceptable really. I've also asked for a refund because Beckett has a 45 day guarantee which I think has been changed to 50 now. I'd suggest emailing them- the more people who speak up the more likely to get something done about it.

Yes, call, email, maybe they prefer smoke signals being slow as molasses over there. And ask them for a refund, like I have.

HUGE UPDATE:

I was refunded the full cost of grading for both of my November submissions and I have been told he is looking into the issue and will let me know when there is an answer. I hope to GOD they are found because I purchased these cards for about 10ea and now they are easy $30 dollar cards.

That's great. I got no reply. My cards are $45 each...two cards...and both are PC cards. Hopefully I get them back.

Calling right now because I got home from work a bit early.

They now have a 3 option phone tree. I let the account information line ring about 35 times (not exaggerating) and now the processing line is on about ring 30.

Seems like everything is falling into place over there? Maybe the ringer is turned off or everyone is having a cereal break?

Who knows what is going on over there. My due date is in five days and haven't had any movement whatsoever. Different situations for us all right now but just wonder what's going on.

It's awesome you got the refund for the fees, but it sucks that the cards are still missing...and, not to dismiss the fact you actually got a refund, but this is part of the problem at COMC. Rather than solving the fundamental problem (missing cards) COMC is just throwing money at the issue and hoping to buy your silence, or at least, appease you enough that you just stop complaining. Good luck.

Well when I finally got ahold of someone they didn't even offer to refund me anything. They actually didn't even ask me who I was...

I wonder how much in Sales I will need to get to before anyone over there cares that I exist? I did $45,000 in 2016, and can't get a return e-mail in under 3 days. Oh well, guess I will just keep sending stuff in.

LOL - I think it's awesome that they've developed multiple ways to ignore their customers - the extra phone lines must be where all the advertising/marketing money they get from the Port Sales went.

And, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the "cereal bar" got phased out a long time ago. God forbid Upper Management allow there to be any "perks" for working at COMC; then again, the fact that cereal is considered a perk may be part of the problem...

And there it is...as long as you keep sending stuff in, why should they care about you? They're just going to keep doing what they do, because people keep sending stuff in...

(and, I don't mean this as a diss towards you, but as a comment towards COMC's attitude, in general...)

My card that I submitted for grading on 11/28 (likely an early December submission) was just deposited to my account. Came back as "shaved top edge on back" but at least it's back to me.

I inquired last night via email. No response or refund.

My 2 just showed up in my account too. Thanks for letting me know theBrett. The sad thing is no reply to my email. I guess the first to complain gets the refund and the rest of us get silence.

I'm honestly glad to see your cards finally "arrived"...but, I still wonder what would have happened if you didn't ask about them?

I also wonder what they're going to do for the other folks who were waiting for cards within that shipment?...if anything?
