Wait, I thought Josh Bell’s suckage was why Juan Soto never gets pitched to?

Plot twist. At least they are trying something different and pushing Bo down.

Manoah was so good and now unraveling. Chapman and Kirk with makeable plays and now we see his first loss as no one way this team comes back. So fn frustrating.

Charlie Montoyo is an idiot. Why not let Manoah pitch the 9th. He’s had an amazing game. Piece of me wants Romano to blow it so can see the stupidity of this decision

That’s the kind of efficiency that will lead to the necessary innings to be a CY award candidate come fall. Very impressed.

Yes. Happy we won but he was in a zone. Would’ve been nice to see the complete game.

100% I also wonder if they wanted to get another look at Romano since the illness. Clearly he’s good to go.

Finally, we get to see Espinal in the 2 hole. I think he’s perfect for that spot. Hopefully this little shakeup can help catalyze something for the middle of the order.

Totally agree!! Problem is Bo and Teo need to drive in the runs. Failed in the first inning.

boy this team is asleep ... they seemed so energized early in the season ... Springer is trying to get them going ... so frustrating to watch

This team is painful. Need to stop saying it’s early and need a major shakeup. Not sure if trade for a left handed hitter or call up Moreno or something.

The dude can mash. He’s kept up the power he showed last year, and along with the defense, he’s a difference-maker.

I’m sure this won’t be a popular idea, but building a trade package around Moreno for a big-time lefty bat could boost this squad quite a bit.

I would keep Jansen to mentor Moreno and package Kirk for Bell. Let Jansen lead until Moreno is ready to take over and then flip them (make Moreno the starter and Jansen the backup). I've always liked Jansen but his inconsistency drove me nuts. He's been looking great the last little while.

Agreed. Probably not Bell though as they already have Ruiz.
B Reynolds is interesting off to a very slow start.
I tend to think Jansen is a plus catcher going forward.

Like my fellow California native, LVDan, said, the Nats already have Keibert. Maybe Kirk and someone else for Austin Meadows? (And maybe Meadows can rediscover his power stroke…?)

Or maybe someone else for Bell. Bryan Reynolds is also interesting.

Back To Jansen/Moreno… Unless they think Moreno is the next Buster Posey (which isn’t out of the realm of possibility), I’d say swap him for an all-star and let Jansen continue coming into his own.

(How available is that Soto guy, anyway?)

Loving the Jays on Apple TV. Manoah with 3 SOs in the first.

Our top 5 are not clutch. Couldn’t get the go ahead run and Manoah the opportunity to win. Ugh.

True, and we still manage to win games, could you image if the big 3 get going.
