Thanks, I would trade an extra Wagner, too. I didn't like that card.

But the only extras I got were landing the Cutch foil and Gold Posey! I've been very lucky, but not that kind of lucky.

I'd probably ditch the box and then put it in with some Bowman paper "stars" that I'm holding for days when my 4-year old starts getting really interested in baseball.

Related, anyone else have multiple boxes worth of just the outer bubble sleeves these cards come in? My wife just avoids my "card room" because she wants to rage when she sees the boxes piled up.

I also imagine package assembly a bit differently. The people putting cards in boxes never know what exactly is going in them, as they are already in their beige boxes and bubble wrap. So you go to the big Blake Jamieson Henderson bin, stuff 8 in a cardboard box, check off that the 10 pack is complete, tape it up and put a label on it.

I've kept all the individual cardboard boxes but now toss most of the bubble wrap, per someone's recommendation here.

I really need to bring myself to do this but I keep telling myself that they'll be so much easier to ship when I have the bubble sleeves. Eventually, my wife's gonna force my hand and I'll probably put them up on a neighborhood sale site for free to anyone selling crafts in the neighborhood.

On to today's cards...

I'm trying to be more positive so I'll just talk about the Soto. I like it, I know the writing will be too small, I wish one artist had made it known up-front that they would be doing a series of comic book cards and committed fully to that idea. That would be a really fun set of cards to own.

Scrolling back through gumstick's page to see how many comic book cards I missed, I stopped and truly laughed at the Action Bronson Henderson. It may be my single favorite BAD card in this set. It's utterly ridiculous and I can't help but love that it exists and that I ordered it. I wish it was released closer to this little lull in action so we could have all spent some time discussing it but I'm sure AB has something else up his sleeve that will get the board talking.

Man I thought that Henderson was trash. My initial reaction was someone was making fun of Action Bronson.

I save a few of the bubble wraps, but they are in deep, out of sight storage [and again, most of it gets tossed].

Re: Pose's Sparky

I wish Pose would chime in with some insight on his compositions. I'm not really pulling anything from this one yet.

All of the collage pieces seem to come from this photo...

That's where I'm at as well. Was saving all the bubble wrap from 2020, but it got to the point where I kept accumulating more without ever actually using any of it.

Still keep the sleeves because I find them to be great when I sell/trade, but even those I'm stockpiling at a rate way faster than what I ship out.

I've never saved any of the bubble wrap, but I kept all of the P2020 sleeves. Doing the same with P70 but also writing what artist/card is in it. During the peak bubble of P2020 I remember seeing just empty sleeves selling on eBay and complaints about shippers not including them with the card

I'm sorry, but there's just no room for him, Maddux and others, we need more Jerry Manuel and cards about Dogecoin.

If you don't have anything nice to say...

Well, I do...

Claw Money's alignment of the diagonal lines and Aaron Judge's bat is enjoyable.

Thanks for your ambassadorship! Figured I'd get on page 3400.

And yes, that "Ricky" -- I have it too

This is what I was thinking of earlier when I mentioned Anderson's reputation as a "fuddy-duddy":
"Anderson brought his work ethic with him to Cincinnati, and some players called his spring training a “slave camp.” GM Howsam insisted on a clean-cut look for the team: no facial hair, no long hair, and suit jackets for traveling, which Anderson supported and enforced. He believed that mannerisms and dress carried over into a kind of self-discipline that helped his players work together as a team."
https://sabr.org/bioproj/person/sparky-anderson/

For example there was a strong contrast between the Big Red Machine and the scruffy Rollie Fingers A's.

When I thought of Billy Martin, I may have been thinking of this spat between Martin and Sparky. Although this time, I agree with Sparky that the A's were bush league to get Rickey the extra stolen base. It's like the baseball equivalent of missing a shot on purpose so that you could get a rebound for a triple-double:

I remember Derrick Coleman gave the Nets a blank check and told them to fill it out at the end of the season for the fines he planned to accrue by wearing a sweatsuit on team travel days.

Has anyone else gotten a FedEx shipping notice for economy shipping since that day that things went haywire? I ordered a single that was supposed to be Economy/Smart Post and just got a Fedex notice for a 0.4 lb package, which has never happened to me before.
