Also, not sure any one has mentioned "You're Next" or not. Not really scary but cool as hell!

yeah man, and the IMDB page has "The Leper" cast, which was a scene from the book that was extremely dark. I think they're going to stick to the book a bit more, and go darker than the old TV movie did. Though, i could be mistaken, but they look like they are making Bowers' dad a cop, which is a HUGE divergence from the book material.

To promote the new It movie, they actually built the creepy house from the movie and turned it into and immersive haunted house in Hollywood, here's a walk through video if anybody is interested

Big horror movie fan, and I have seen my fair share. A couple of french one's I have recently seen were excellent. High Tension, Inside, Them. If you don't mind subtitles, they are really really good.

Rest in peace, Tobe Hooper, whose credits as director include the horror classics "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" Part 1 and 2, "Poltergeist", and the original TV miniseries of Stephen King's "Salem's Lot". Even his music video for Billy Idol's "Dancing With Myself" had some early undead-looking types in it.

Yeah I just heard about Tobe Hooper dying. Man he had an eye for scary!
Why couldn't it have been Michael Bay. |

Saw a prescreening of It last night and boy was it fantastic! I'll be seeing it at least once or twice more in the theater.

CABIN FEVER (2016) the remake is horrible. Avoid at all cost.
There isn no reason to remake the film in the first place. |

I'm so excited for IT. I've only seen one preview (first teaser) and haven't heard pennywise's voice yet. Hopefully it's not spoiled before I see it.

Pennywise is voiced by Gilbert Gottfried for this new adaptation.

netflix has historically not been great for zombie movies, though if Wyrmwood is still there, watch it.

"It" is the the most thrilling read until the very end which King himself said was improved in these new scripts, although we won't see that update until "It 2".
There is a small section in King's "11/22/63" wherein the time-traveling protagonist of that novel has a stopover in Derry and meets two of the kids from "It", about two years after the events of the new movie, which is during the time when the evil of Derry is in remission. The scene is some astonishing writing from a true master that retroactively enriches "It" while setting the stage for one of King's best ever finishes at the end of "11/22/63". The "how they danced" finale of "11/22" rivals that of his masterpiece "Shawshank Redemption" for emotional impact. "Dark Tower" movie notwithstanding, these are some exciting times for Stephen King fans.

My son made me watch `Friend Request' the other night. Do yourself a favor and do not accept the request. Terrible movie.
