It makes sense for them to wait. Let the physical dry up a bit so they can bump up the epack price. Only problem is physical is moving extremely slow at these inflated prices.

I used to think boxes wouldn't come down before epack, but if they are moving they might?

True, and Marvel Beginnings also. Could be awhile before we see MM on epack.

Granted there is nothing that makes UD have to release them in order, but I imagine it'll be the case.

No question there is a flood of sets. I look at it as
X-men Metal- rehashed art
Spidey Metal - rehashed art
Annual - rehashed art
Beginnings - rehashed art
What If - images taken from the animated show

Which leaves only FUA and Masterpieces for art commissioned for the set, and FUA still has most of its inserts rehashed art. So for me personally UD is doing a lot of extra fluff sets, and not truly that many original sets.

Huh, so a base missing the serial! I do see the Thanos on ebay. I will assume there are only 98 at most of the Thanos base with serial numbers then.

So error wise so far in this set I have recorded
-Greens with silver base front
-Mirage with double-printed Skybox foil on back
-Base missing the serial number

Looks like that Aviles Spidey/Goblin sketch is already relisted. So either nonpaying buyer or seller cancellation. I knew something seemed off with how high that auction ended.

A glance at 130 pt shows 17 sketches sold on ebay at $1k or less, 4 at above $1k (1050,1500,2500,2999). But it's fair to say the complexity of content ranges from a single lightsaber to more involved sketches.

The art is great for sure. Just from following the Marvel sketch card market over years though, it's really rare for a sketch to go in the range of 2k or more from great art. At that price it usually is a set artist like we saw with the Dan dos Santos sketch, major published name from comics such as Joe Jusko and his MM16 sketches, or like Nar who had a finite run of very popular sketches made, or perhaps elaborate painting sketch from fred.ian. But I've seen some amazing quality great art sketches from artists like Ash, Glebe's, Anthony Tan, etc, and the prices still are rare to go much above $1k even though the art is amazing.

Now this is a new and exciting set, and looks like a new artist to Marvel with great art, so who knows...maybe someone will pay around the price...but I was skeptical when I first saw the sale, and it looks like I was correct to be, given that it's relisted.

Been watching a few breaks of boxes.

Seems like the ROI on a box is around 50%. With good chance of hitting something that helps push that closer to 75-80%. And of course, hitting something big that’ll push you way past the cost of entry.

It’s honestly way better then a high end sports box.

Thoughts?

It is interesting to watch. I guess we’ll see how single prices hold. Def looks to be going thru the usual decline after a release.

All the mishaps with this set.

It was already delayed by at least a year and yet Upper Deck still rushed through the production.

Upper Deck's QA/QC is pathetic.

I'm just becoming aware of him. Great coverage for sure. And yes, this set is fire.

I'll have to start saving up for the next release I suppose, and collect singles of this one and maybe gamble few times on epack (when that happens).
