Really dumb question. When I submit a card for grading, if it doesn't meet a minimum grade can I request it be labeled as Authentic?

I've got a 1/1 for my PC that I want to put in a slab.

We do not have the option for min grade when submitting.

Yes we can do that, just put a sticky note on the card.

We are currently just over 5000 cards for the July Special level.

You can't specify min grade, but you can request that the card be holdered as authentic if it would have kicked back.

This. You can’t have Mg 8 and it come back raw but you can have MG 8 or slab authentic and it comes back authentic.

Hey Josh,
I sent an order in on Saturday for a grading sub, but it says Consignment instead of grading on the label. Do i need to reach out to one of your guys to give them the heads up that its for grading not consignment?

Yeah I’m frustrated with that one too. I had some big cards in there that I made sure to send in early enough to get back in time to bring to the National, and I’ve just been watching it sit in QA1 every day for the past 2 months haha. Most economy subs have been coming back so quickly, so I can’t imagine what the hold up is with this one. I have 2 cards in that sub that are a pop 0 and I double check the pop reports every now and again just incase, but nothing there yet.

Yeah it's odd for sure. I've got stuff in 66 and 67 and those are about to pop (spent like 1-2 days in QA1). I'm not too familiar with what even goes on in QA1 (I assume rechecking grades and determining upcharges?); I just hope the cards aren't damaged. I guess all we can do is wait

Any general estimates on how long assembly is taking nowaadays? Is it the new Research and ID?
