I think Bregman has pretty easily passed up DJ with what he's done over the last month. Without Bregman I think Trout would have a shot to win it without playing another game. If Bregman keeps this up I don't see it

Two... third and SS... when Correa went down he played great short and can play solid SS or 3B.

I'd still say yes. Just wouldn't be a blow out like it could have been. He'd still be in the top of a lot of stats even with the 470 ABs. You would just have to add played in a lot fewer games on top of the already not playing on a winning team thing. Someone would really need to stand out and I don't see it. Would Astros really not make the playoffs without Bregman, of course not. Same question would need to be asked about Torres. I don't pay attention to the Yankees, so maybe? Idk. I know Torres stats though, so I'll say no to MVP. Doesn't make a difference really, Trout will play again this season and still possibly hit 50 HRs.

Totally agree... Might play 2 games take a game off type thing... but he will play.

I bet he plays Wednesday. Off day Thursday... play Friday and Saturday... take the Sunday early start off. Off day Monday and on to New York. I doubt he misses games in New York

This is what happens when you play for a crapola team. If he was fighting for a playoff spot he might be back earlier than with the Angels. Why not have him take extra days off if the games are of no meaning to them? Why risk anything?

If the toe can’t get worse by playing, just blast that bad boy with a healthy dose of Novocain and let our boy do what he does best. Hell, at least let him DH. I want him to pad his stats and win that third MVP!!

I have Trout as AL MVP no matter what. Even if he doesn't play another game this year, I think he has MVP on lock. Toe injuries do hurt like crazy though, but he has had a procedure that will hopefully allow him to play some more games this season. Go Trout!!!
