So assuming that Holmes and Wandy are only available in "emergencies", that means the bullpen is:

-German: 0 appearances so far
-Castro: 0 appearances so far
-Trivino: Game 2 & 3. 24 pitches total. 0 ER
-Johnny Lasagna: Game 1, 2, & 3. 42 pitches total. 0 ER
-Luetge: 0 appearances so far
-Schmidt: Game 1 & 2. 21 pitches total. 1 ER

If I was a betting man, I'd say the plan is Taillon for 4, German for 3, Trevino for 1, and Lasagna to close it out.

Ya know... I'll take those odds.

The only odds I'm willing to bet on is that somehow Boone will screw managing this game up.

I see the Twins are saying goodbye to crappy Sanchez. Anyone want him back to be Trevino's backup?

My mentality at the beginning of Spring Training was if the Yankees don't win the WS, blow it up. Let whoever isn't on the roster next year walk (yes, Judge too). Cashman/Boone gone (pipe dream, I know).

And I have held firm to this.

A lot of people have forgotten that 2019 was the year we all circled (Including Cashman) as the year to go all out. That is now a distant memory.

On the flip side, if they get the ring, then I'm okay with whatever the next few years.

I would like to see Boone fired and Donaldson, Stanton, Hicks, and Torres traded.

Re-sign Judge, Beni, Carpenter.

Sign DeGrom. Sign Sanchez as back-up catcher/pinch hitter off bench only. (And no I'm not drinking. )

Move DJ back to 2B, Cabrera to 3B, Peraza at SS. IKF on the bench.

So you wanna trade 3 guys that are basically untradeable and pay a pitcher who hasn’t been healthy in over 2 years 30+ million a year? Go lay on the tracks.

Edit-A 30+ million a year pitcher who is a 5 inning pitcher to a team that has no bullpen.

They said the same thing when the Red Sox blew up their roster years back and traded a bunch of overpaid veterans to the Dodgers. Everyone is tradeable for the right price.

I thought I was the only person who called him Johnny Lasagna. If he becomes The Closer, he will get more baseball cards at least.

Hicks is playing, I guess we just want to keep upping the difficulty level.

An article I read today said they may play Stanton in LF in Minute Maid Park because it's short and not a lot of field for him to cover like Yankee Stadium. This would also allow them to DH Carpenter.

What overpriced veterans did Boston trade away?

The David price that netted them Mookie Betts?
The Adrian Gonzalez that finish top 10 in mvp year prior and was still playing well ?
The josh Beckett that finished top 10 in CY year prior? He sucked first half of year he was traded but still had a track record.
Ok Crawford sucked but he’s the most comparable player performance wise in that group to Stanton.
You wanna trade Stanton ? Give a team Volpe and Peraza and you can do it. You’re getting a bag of balls back but everyone is tradeable

Yea, that's how trades work? I thought your original statment was that nobody is tradeable.

I’m sure when these guys talk about trading Stanton and Donaldson, giving away top prospects to unload them is a non starter. I could be wrong though. Yes anyone is tradeable if we’re being technical.

Depends on how much a team wants and Hal has enough money to pay some of the salaries as they go to a new team.

Trust me, this is what I would do or try to do if I was running this team. Hal isn't going to do crap and we are going to be stuck with these crap veterans and bad contracts forever.

If Cortes pitches like that the rest of the game, we could be going to Houston.
