Just in general though- every click on epack seems so slow. I’m sure this is old hat to everyone, but man the system it’s powered on is not ideal.
The site is slow and pretty bad. It’s surprising they don’t have an app at this point.

I don't think UD really cares as long as website is not down.

Default UD e-Pack store: A Marvel Sale is Live!

After buying a lot more What If (the ol get one hit early and draws you in…), my thoughts on the set:

I do like the quirky fun aspect of the set. The value is not there. At regular price it would be downright atrocious value. At 75% it’s still not even there but a fun rip for the price and not *too* much a money pit, although it is one.

The problem with the set is it’s no autos/sketches, and also is not conducive to character collectors. For example it’s not just Spider-man, Cap America, Loki, or Black Widow….its Zombie Hunter Spider-Man, Zombie Cap, Frost Giant Loki, and Post Apocalyptic Black Widow. So if you’re a Cap America collector…are you even going for Zombie Cap? It’s kind of different. And without a good ol regular “Spider-Man” to hit, the values suffer.

The top priced card from this set on COMC is like $1k…(that’s it), sitting unsold, and is a toss up between a Thanos black diamond cosmic stones and a Zombie Jambalaya Cap. I’m wondering…what even is the best hit in this? zombie jambalaya maybe? cosmic stones? These cap out around $1k and that’s being generous, most are quite a bit less.

Also the parallel structure doesn’t have many real low ones. Like the 1990MU, there is no 1/1 or /5 which would have made a much better chase.

And what’s going on with the diamond stone relic /5?’s. I don’t even understand those…some have 1 stone, some have 3, some have 4, etc. And the price seems to be less than the cosmic stones /23 which doesn’t make sense.

Finally, the print run seems very large on this. I opened a boatload of boxes of this since yesterday and have yet to get one non-base medallion (like platinum or purple).

If you put all value considerations aside, it was fun to open and I enjoyed the cards. But man as someone said above…tough on value.

Was just thinking, an app would be very helpful. COMC finally did it…why not Epack. It’s 2025 now, UD.

Wanted to ship some cards home. Hit a few things I would actually like physically. Estimated delivery date to Los Angeles ca area is April 1. Feels like they are sending them by horse and carriage. Feels a little crazy but I guess that’s normal.

That's same date as Comc is providing me for normal delivery. If you are willing to pay more for shipping cost, you could transfer the cards to your account and ask for rush delivery. I have Feb 24 as rush delivery with little bit more reasonable shipping cost than Feb 22 (nearly 2.5x cost).

I believe epack has the same options for rushed etc. since it's all handled by COMC. I have been transferring over though so I can spend COMC credits instead of shelling out more "real dollars", but otherwise I believe it's all the same

Looking at completed sales on eBay just within the last year, the Cosmic Stone Relics /23 and Zombie Jambalaya are the top tier sellers. Most of the Stone Relics sell in the $200-400 range with outliers on either side. The Zombie Jambalaya are less frequent sellers and are in a similar range with more sales towards the high end of the range.

The Cosmic Stones /5 are probably a tick above the regular stones but not likely too much based on current pricing.

The current supply will likely cause a dip in prices, especially when people use the terrible COMC auction service.

In the FB groups I am part of, people list it for $15-25 and it sells fairly regularly. In the real world with no achievement, it seems to have settled in the $8-10 range on eBay. On COMC you can get it as cheap as $3-4 right now.

I think a sale like this 75% sale itself will cause a dip in prices, with the sudden infusion of supply.

But yea I was thinking the same thing, the cosmic stone /23’s and Zombie jambalayas. Why does the cosmic stone outprice the /5’s stones? Is it the bias towards anything infinity stones?

My issue with this though is if the product hits are only pulling like $200-400 on avg, with a top one maybe $800ish…that’s a problem. I know What If is a cheaper set, but it would have been nice to have *something* longs odds, like 1/1 parallels or big autos that can be up over $1k. I can’t imagine anyone back in the day paying $114 or whatever it was for a box.

Exactly, that is why beginnings, flair etc still have people buying, because the long odds stuff like sketches are fun to chase.

I can't speak for everyone else but when it comes to marvel I'm a big fan of Spiderman and mainly Spiderman related characters....which did lead me to maybe overpaying for this card and then putting even more in to it to get it graded

Do I like just regular ol Peter Parker Spiderman cards a little more than Zombie hunter? Yea I do.... but at the same time I do like having some stuff to represent the whole history of the Spiderman character and the Spiderman world in general

Varies person to person I’m sure. I can see a big fan of a character go after all the various incarnations of the character. I can also see a character collector being very picky and just wanting specifically the regular version, down to the name being just the name. So Wolverine and not Ultimate Wolverine, Zombie Wolverine etc.

If we’re talking values, I think if some of these What If ones were just titled that character, like a a Cosmic Stones or Medallion just called Spider-Man, the values would be higher than they are. Market seems to prefer regular versions. But individually people are different.

I 100% agree with you the main character is the most sought after character and it's not even close.. sales prices show that

So I get why people do stick to the main character and not branch out to other variations of a character... like I said for me though I like just trying to show a bigger picture of the history of a character

Flair feels like a rip off even at 50% off. 2 physical for 7.50? Come on man.

I rarely buy Beginnings but ended up trying 4 packs last night. Pretty cool for only 4 packs.

Defenders sold out on page 27 of this thread. Side note, this thread might be good to maintain as a catch all ePack sales thread once all the Marvel sets leave. It’s been a super active thread and fun to see everyone’s pulls.
