Sure, they got Cole going and nobody has a starter for mon. The issue is who is getting the last 6 outs? Maybe Cole goes 9 or maybe he gives up a 3-run hr in the first and completely melts down. What would worry me is you had players question why holmes wasn't out there. Add in chapman abandoning the team and it sounds like they dont have a healthy clubhouse, but 1 win can change all that.

After listening to Boone’s press conference if he knew Holmes wasn’t available why didn’t he try to get more length out of Trivino or Loaisiga. If Holmes didn’t want the ball last night that is a very telling sign, supposedly he was available only in an emergency well if leading 5-3 going into the bottom on the 9th in a swing game isn’t an emergency then what is.

If Donaldson played it better it would still be 3-0 you can’t screw up like that with Cole on the mound as that is when he tends to get fragile.

The shift has hurt the Yankees more this series than helped them, at what point do they say screw it and field in normal places before the shift was a thing. I will be so glad it is gone next year.
