I love printing plates. I also love that most people don't love them nearly as much as I do. Congrats on a good purchase. I have some nice ones from over the years and none have been too pricey, even if I've paid $10-15 over what the next person might pay.

Also, there are reasons to prefer APs to foils:

Silver frames, "weight", they often look better than the card with the foil treatment, and along those lines look more like the original card, they are 50% rarer and there's some feeling of victory for making it through the Topps gauntlet to get one.

I doubt it, I don't see any cards dropping below 500 for sure. I'd be pretty surprised to see any hit under 1000. I think if one did, Topps would probably let the artist buy up the needed amount to bump it over 1000. If a Jerry Manuel sold 1400 copies, I think anything will

The funny thing is, I have a 5 card lineup of P70 on my desk that I absolutely love. The good cards still make me really happy. I'd even argue that several of the original artists have continued to evolve and are producing superior work compared to their P2020 efforts. It just gets diluted out by OMA Gooden tributes that honestly should not have been made. Not because I hate OMA or polka dots, but because it's just disrespectful to the people that have been dropping money on these cards for the past year.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more gimmicks lately. The set seemed to be giveaway heavy at the beginning but that's died down. The P2020 auto giveaways were a trainwreck so I hope Topps doesn't do those again.

Foils are keeping P70 afloat, imo....otherwise, you would most likely see sub 500 PR's on some of these.
