At what point do we admit most of us were wrong about the Montgomery for Bader trade, I thought it was one of Cashmans worst trades ever but I think time is starting to change my mind.

Now you're going to stoke cnewby's ego even more.

Can we get a full season of him before making up our minds especially since Taillon is a free agent after this season and Montas clearly sucks so we probably could have used Montgomery in the rotation next year.

I will definitely go on record right now as saying Bader > Hicks.

That is why I said time is changing my mind, still have to see what the future holds but it is definitely not the worst trade I thought it was.

I hope so. Everyone got so worked up over a nothing deal. Its honestly only upside for Cashman if Bader becomes a playoff hero it could be his BEST trade.

Very true and with Montgomery already out of the playoffs he doesn’t have to worry about reading the headline Montgomery stymies yanks in game 7 to win the World Series.

Said it from the start. Yankees decided that they didn't need 6 starters for the playoffs. But they wanted to beef up CF.

Is the trade 1 for 1 in terms of value? Debatable.

I'd still rather have the starting pitcher with another year of team control.

Well at least Topps combined Bader and Rizzo's homeruns into one card so I only had to buy 2 cards and not 3.

That works for me, gives me more time to celebrate my wife’s birthday today.

Now I'll have to hear BNut whine about me having the game on while I work.

Like his performance allowed him to demand anything.

Hal's just being cheap. He has enough money to re-sign Judge and Benintendi, sign DeGrom, and trade Donaldson, Stanton, DJ, and Hicks (plus a few prospects) and eat their salaries to the Angels for Trout.

Don't want him unless he agrees to be a pitcher only. With Trout, Bader, and Benintendi in the OF, Judge will be permanent DH to stay healthy all season long and win more MVPs.

Well played game 1 nice win! Not sure why we needed a day off on a beautiful day just to miss the next with rain. That needs to be addressed in the off-season when planning the playoff format.

Getting that tatoo that gave him an infection causing him to miss games, started his out of favor slide.

Aaron Judge has struggled in October since ‘New York, New York’ playoff moment:

Yankees’ injury updates: Ron Marinaccio, Andrew Benintendi, Frankie Montas, DJ LeMahieu:

https://www.nj.com/yankees/2022/10/y...-lemahieu.html

Quote:
Reliever Ron Marinaccio, starting pitcher Frankie Montas and left fielder Andrew Benintendi are heading to the team’s player development complex in Tampa work out in the possibility all three could be activated for next round of the playoffs.
Please don't let Montas anywhere near a playoff game unless the Yankees are up by 10 runs.
