This is the main (and probably only) reason why I'm happy this has been released now as opposed to 5 years later. It's not just the funds, it's also that I now have time to check for drops and see what people are posting on this forum.

And, I'm home all day, so I'm easily getting $20 worth of enjoyment from seeing the cards that I get.

Wotherspoon isnt really a "black clouds" kind of guy though. I feel like your issue is just simply wanting to buy more cards and Wotherspoon isnt helping you with that. He could maybe put bugs on his cards, do you like bugs? Hes been making stuff with bugs on it outside of P70.

Topps wants to make money.

Artists will make the cards they want.

We will like some and dislike others, and each individual's likes and dislikes are their own.

If we like a card enough, we'll buy it. We won't buy the cards we don't want (but someone will).

I think I'm going to want the Keith Shore Teen Wolf Max Scherzer.

I got my Mister Cartoon C.C. Sabathia AP in the mail today.

I'm well on my way to buying 500 of these (Project 70 cards, not APs specifically).

The Cadillac will have to wait.

Great point! I could justify buying these things since I stopped going out to restaurants and bars. Granted, my diet has improved, but I'll want to resume going out when conditions allow. So I'll have less "play money."

I am like one of those Aaron Rodgers fans who doesn't normally watch Jeopardy, though. Despite barely touching a baseball card for decades, I was [and am] hooked.

Here's the thing, I think most would agree that topps shouldn't have done P70 right away, but how would topps fill the 45m revenue hole by not doing it? They're projecting 22% revenue growth on top of 23% growth last year which I would argue was heavily tied to lockdowns and stimulus. They're also projecting an additional 12% growth for 2022 or 777M, a full 210M or 37% more revenue than 2020. They probably are already planning for another set.

What's most fascinating is we now have a method to short the baseball card bubble. We obsess way more over p70 print runs than say people on the street. Its pretty clear if these pr start to really tank there's no way topps will hit their revenue targets.
