If the card needs to meet your artistic qualifications then the player isn't a must buy right?

Exactly. I can sit here and say I will buy every Eddie Murray card, but if it resembles the Siff Clemente or Ron English's Yogi I would not.

I definitely could have worded that better. I look at Topps Project 70 purchases as:
1. Is the player one I want in my collection? (Josh Gibson, yes)
2. Do I like the artistic take on the card? (I don't know yet)
The purchase has to hit both for me to make the purchase.

I hated the Siff Clemente too when I saw it...it's weirdness grew on me and ended up buying one later. That Yogi though, that's a nightmare on cardboard

Gregg Jefferies is a must buy player for me.

I don't care who the artist is, or what the card looks like.
If there is a p70 card of Jefferies, I'm buying it, and I'm buying multiples.

Do any of the Patreon folks have insight into the prints at the end? Will they be unique or is Topps just going to put all the cards into a print?

As much as I love the Mets and Greg Jefferies I think it’s a safe bet to say that we will not be seeing him in this set. Way too obscure for this kind of release (yes I know Coco Crisp was too.)

Same with Kevin Maas and Rusty Kuntz

Topps hasn’t shared any insight into this yet. It’s probably a print with all 18 cards and 2 wrappers on it. I am not expecting anything mind blowing.

I'm just giving you a hard time. I thought it was kind of a funny sentence. Absolutes get us all in trouble.

I'm gonna hold out hope til the very end.

If Coco Crisp, Deion Sanders, and Craig Biggio can have cards, and Lasorda can earn multiple, surely Jefferies has a shot of getting one too right??!

You're just looking for Orioles Murrays, right? That's one that I would have to consider, too. I loved watching him hit. I'm pretty sure I'm in for all Tigers, regardless. I wasn't a big fan of the Pose Kaline, even though I really liked the Rickey, but I still bought multiples. I know that I would regret not having them sometime down the road, and it has grown on me a little more since the drop. Plus, I know there won't be too many team representatives to worry about having to spend too much.

That would be super disappointing. If they really want to incentivize people to purchase a full set they should allow the artists to create their own print. Anyone can make a simple print of the cards themselves if they wanted to.

Purchase all 20 cards from any specific artist and receive an exclusive gold-stamped oversized print featuring all 20 cards!

That’s not the plan - it’s “an exclusive gold-stamped oversized print featuring all 20 cards”.

Serious question since I don't really collect baseball cards post-1980.....does Tony Gwynn have a lot more hobby appeal than Wade Boggs?

Ahh duh I feel stupid. Better to realize this now than half way through the runs I want. Might as well just buy the cards I want on Ebay or from Wheeler.
