^ this is something I truly believe. When cards get sold on ebay, a good portion don't come back for resale. They're gone.

I can vouch for that. You would be surprised how many family members of the players and the players themselves are purchasing these cards. My customer profile 95% of the time is not someone looking to resale or flip.

Do you think they will make a Mark Trumbo AL Comeback Player of the Year card tomorrow?

Orioles' Mark Trumbo named Sporting News American League Comeback Player of the Year - Baltimore Sun

Maybe a entirely new ball game with yesterday's PR's so I almost hate to guess...but here goes
Card #618: Cubs/Indians World Series Matchup Card: Infielders 1600
Card #619: Cubs/Indians World Series Matchup Card: Outfielders 800
Card #620: Cubs/Indians World Series Matchup Card: Catchers/DH's 818
Card #621: Cubs/Indians World Series Matchup Card: Starting Pitchers 1600
Card #622: Cubs/Indians World Series Matchup Card: Relief Pitchers 818

Would have been better had they did 622 A Indians front and 622 B was Cubs front....so you could pick the team you wanted on the front or back.

With both teams on the card though, they got many fans of one team to buy a card they wouldn't have bought if split out by team

I've sold exactly two of them both at auction and not much more then the other SPs (Lower then 226). I Guess since it was a Saturday, most of the buyers/flippers simply forgot to buy. AND...That is why it is scarce; more so then me hyping the card and buying them up. Sadly I have very few Hellickson's anymore and can't wait for someone to put them up at a reasonable price. (Currently $29.95)

With all that being said; you are exactly right any card under 300 can be manipulated like that. I bought up a ton of #26's when you could get them for under $12...and did just like you said, let them back out into the market at a higher price. If I held them all I would have a corner on the market. I only have a few of these left in my collection now....where you are wrong (in that this is not like eTopps) is that these cards go to (for the most part) a fan of the team and are gone from circulation; never to be seen again (unless they are going for hundreds of dollars). eTopps cards were passed back and forth from portfolio to portfolio, you could always find one unless it was extremely rare. I've only read the first line, will read the rest after posting this. It was not my intention to talk negatively about you at all.

This is the game. We saw it with etopps, we'll see it with Topps now. You happen to be someone with a lot of influence on this board and by saying certain things, you are able to create a market.

I will read the rest of this post now, but please realize I had no intention of making you sound like a bad guy. You've been nothing but upfront and helpful to everyone in this thread.

So I apologize if I was taken the wrong way.

Got my Napoli auto today. Which begs the question--where are the Lindor Autos at? I ordered the Lindor like two weeks before the Napoli.

I haven't even gotten a confirmation e-mail saying it has shipped yet. Does anyone know if Lindor has even signed them yet?

So if they would have timed this release so it didn't close until a hour after the first pitch....had a quick commercial during the first break; well then these cards would have sold 8000 or more each. But I'm sure how much ads cost and if selling that many cards would make it worth wild.
