Aside from you having some in your closet, what information do you have that suggests this wax is being hoarded at a higher rate than anything released after 19/20 Prizm?

Being a retail only release, I'd expect that this was ripped at a higher rate than most anything. With prices so low and interest so high, I'd think people are ripping these like crazy.

Anyone done any analysis on this??

^^ There are currently 6,349 results for Hoops premium Zion Williamson on eBay.

I'm not sure how that compares to previous releases, but that seems like a fairly large number.

That is because you can't find a single box of wax without his name mentioned. I doubt this is 6k different sales of Zion cards themselves.

Filter out pack, box, break, cello, blaster, mega, cello....still leaves over 3200 active listings and over 9100 sold listings. Not sure this stuff is that rare.

Wax was not being held sealed the way it is now until the summer when Chronicles basketball was released. Look how well since then basketball retail has done after paying resale prices after drying up. It doesn’t help that from everything I saw in stores and online I don’t think there can be an argument made that Chronicles and Hoops Premium were printed as much or more than any other product. Although I don’t know how much that means since Illusions there was less supply and it’s worthless. Believe it or not Illusions basketball is selling lower than Illusions football.

Rare, not rare. Can't find it on a single shelf in any major metro. Demand is stil pretty high. I personally love the product, but then again, its my first dip back into the game. But I'm having fun.

My point isn't that it is rare... my point is that it is being ripped because it is cheap and doesn't have the hobby distro markup given it is retail only (for the most part)

Seems to be happening... only 241 listings for Hoops Premium Sealed Mega

With reports out of retail that there weren't many this week, I think it may be over.

There's another 400 or so Mega listings that don't have sealed in the title, but yeah overall number is dropping slowly but steadily.

I’m watching Zion PSA 10 pulsar sales now. I think that’s gonna tell the story of the box sets more than the color pack.

We had several stores restock megas this week, but these were stores that didn’t stock last week. The one that did stock last week did not have hoops premium this week.

I picked up 3 more megas and 3 more blasters, I’ll have to update my final total as I imagine that’s gonna be it for my acquisitions.

The real money in the pulsar sets is in bulk.

If you stacked coupon codes at msrp, you'll still 3-4x your money assuming you can get even a 30% psa 10 rate on some of the big bois, including Bron and Luka. PSA 9's still carry a justifiable premium for Ja/Fatboi.

I think they'll hold value well going forward. Best looking parallel second only to the silvers.

Pulsars are ok, but IMO silver and blue prizm are 1/2.

I own all 3....it's tough for me to choose. But honestly the pulsars are the show stoppers. The way the pattern dances in lighting is magical.

Silvers are just so clean though.

Oh, and the way to sell the pulsars is BIN/BO. The discrepancy in auction prices vs. BIN prices is night and day. I understand time is money, and that's a task for most sitting on product that long...but we're not talking small margins here.

Unfortunately with 20-21 Prizm around the corner I don’t know how quickly this product will be able to drive demand. Depending how the PSA price change goes I may consider cracking more sets to take my luck on just grading the Zion / Ja cards and auctioning the rest as lots
