We're also overdue for a JK5. His vlad jr has been quietly picking up steam on ebay. Will be interesting to see who the new people brought in by influencers end up adopting from the original artists.

If Jonas is doing a recreation of Coco Crisp as Oscar Gamble, why can't he do Mantle as Bryant?

April 1 is the next day that I've circled on my calendar: JK5's next card and the book on the 1948 Indians get released. I'll be leaning back, watching the Yankees cards float by until then.
I semi-like today's Don Mattingly. It's _almost_ so bad it's good. It's like she's brought cupcakes to the baseball card sausage party with all her polka dots and stylishly terrible artsy photos. By emphasizing Mattingly's white glove, I'm guessing she's either channeling Michael Jackson or asking us to ponder where that hand's been: was it adjusting his cup, or smacking Rickey Henderson on the rump? |

Nice take SHIN.
I don't mind the card much (all three are fine to look at, mattingly is the most interesting); it's the subject list that has me passing, easily. |

I like the Canseco better than the McGwire, and these make sense as a pairing - not a pair I'd buy, but I don't dislike it. Adell - looks okay I guess if you like that kind of stuff, and enjoy buying cards of Minor Leaguers Mattingly - better than the Seaver; torn if I actually rank DonC higher as an artist..

![]() I am looking forward to seeing what he comes up with as a follow up to his Acuna. He doesn’t seem to have a trademark form or figure which will help keep his set interesting. Just going through random thoughts... I think it would be fun if he drops a more realistic rendering on us at some point. It would throw a lot of people off balance and could be popular if it’s done well. |

I did Saladeen and Beck sets in Project 2020 but have passed on Saladeen Harper and Adell and Beck Canseco.
Its nice only buying the cards I really like. |

Mattingly. Another Mattingly? How many more do we need? Ruth, Banks, Bench, Seaver, Kaline, Paige...please keep up on that trend. The Canseco looks good, and the Adell not bad, although the pic of him on the phone seems like a strange choice. Only 900+ more to go! Love it!

Got the Claw Mattingly AP today.
Happy to get what I like and not be botted. The problem is when I like a card that everyone else also likes, because that means bots are coming in full force.

![]() ![]() Maybe Adell is getting the call that he's being sent down. Hey, that's better than finding out with a red tag in your locker. |

One thing I'll say about all three cards: Nicely done artists on the borders/card art.
A different trio of players would have me singing praise. |

I’m really liking King Saladeen’s style. Not sure Adell was a good choice but the card looks great.

I think King Saladeen's Adell is a fantastic card, I just wish it didn't have the foreground image of Jo taking a phone call - I'd prefer a more traditional image, plus it obscures his face.
I'm happy to see a young player like Adell getting cards in P70 as opposed to yet more cards of players that are already on thousands of Topps cards. Honestly as a baseball fan, I'm happy with cards of almost any player; it's more about the card design and appearance and artist's style and creativity for me. But I do prefer to see lots of variety in the players used... I'd be happy with a set of 1000 different players. |

I'm not usually a Saladeen fan so I'm surprised I like it as much as I do. I already own one Adell card in this set, I don't need another.
The Canseco is not as great as Beck's Ohtani. He really hit it out of the park with Ohtani. I'm going for a Beck set this year so I will purchase it. The only positive thing I can say about the Mattingly is that it's a 1992 Topps design. I love that design. Not enough to buy this though. |
