COMC isn't listing every single card on ebay.

Sometimes a price change will trigger COMC to list a card.

selling on ebay via comc is a dual edged sword
yes I want the cards to move
yes I know often times i'm getting a better price than I would throwing them to the auction sharks
but that 20% with another 20% hit coming is sooooo brutal
they should completely abandon any effort to allow ebayers to send offers
let negotiation be exclusive to comc
as it is, any offer from ebay below full price
will just make me livid
if I overprice stuff, it won't sell
let me figure it out on my own, or with help from offers on comc
I don't have enough antacid to deal with ebay lowballers...

I would love eBay offers because many of the cards I have I bought for 1/10th the price I have them listed at. There are a lot of offers I would accept.

With all due respect, you would accept offers because your prices are through the roof. For anyone with relatively normal pricing it would be nothing more than a headache of low ball offers.

Thanks for the feedback. It's surprising to me how many cards sell at full price (cart/eBay) as well. They're priced to be sold during 40-50% off sales, normally.

COMC taking the extra for cards under 74 cents that sell for 99 cents should have a Superman / Office Space math effect.

I was told numerous times by numerous people that 2016 was survival mode because of the law suit but 2017 would show some progress

I didn't believe them, but I was told that

3 weeks in and the site is still failing to deliver its #1 function of 24/7 card marketplace with its continued downtime

The eBay fees we were all told they would take a look at haven't been adjusted

SRP still sucks

Processing has not sped up

Shipping actually appears to be keeping up which is good, but that's like giving Wendy's credit for having a functioning frosty machine.

E-Mail communication has been slower and whoever sent me an email last week about a question I had on slower than usual grading results explained how it should work which I know because I use it literally every month and did nothing to cross reference the cards I have currently or for grading. I basically only want to speak to James, Norbert or Tim

As usual, I'm sure many users will tell me I'm just complaining, but seriously COMC improve something for once. The only thing that ever gets better is selection and pricing which is due to the sellers

Yep; zero improvement so far this year, and website performance is sliding down. I agree.

While I agree that we haven't seen improvement in other areas this year, I think the addition of eBay cross-listing was huge. I'm not super optimistic, but I think they bought themselves a little more of my patience based on the jump in sales each month I am seeing from the eBay listings.

i'm doing a lot of ebay searches to find items to buy as well as researching pricing and i have to say that comc is becoming pretty dominant in the trading card categories i'm searching.

i think that this "economy of scale" should help sellers over the next year as buyers (eventually) figure out that they can shop comc listings and save on shipping. comc items will hopefully enjoy some pricing power on ebay since comc will have more items than any other entity with the possible exception of Burbank.

i would also think that subtitle helps get new customers to the site and new consignors. maybe we're already there, but you have to think there is a "critical mass" to this model where things can really take off for all parties concerned.

the question is whether comc will be able to manage this "critical mass" so that the reactor produces energy as opposed to melting down or petering out because they could not get the balance right. i would think there biggest challenge is having the staff that is big enough and productive enough to get all these cards listed and shipped.

I just cleared my first $100 today thanks to eBay sales! No more cards than I have, this is pretty good to me. I only use COMC to purchase more cards so the 20% cash fee won't apply to me. Next milestone: $500!!!

I really like comc. I understand and agree with some of the complaints but at the end of the day the site is awesome. Could they imrove some stuff? Sure. But it is an awesome place as is.

I have built 3 or 4 great little collections over there. The giannis one was fun. I have sold over $3000 in the last calender year which I am more than pleased with.

Its a fun and profitable place to me.

Interesting...

I sold this card a few days ago on COMC via eBay.

2015 Panini Immaculate Collection Collegiate - [Base] #365
Rookie Autographs - Terry Rozier #6/99
Item: 33369041
N/A $20.00 1/23/2017 1/17/2017 eBay

I can't find it on eBay completed listings, or on sortsof.com

Am I missing something here?

The few times that I've tried finding my items that sold thru ebay, they have been nowhere to be found. They must have an agreement w/ ebay that removes them from searches.

Ugh, last week I paid for express shipping for 4 cards I wanted for the upcoming Mariners Fanfest to get signed. Last Thursday, the tracking number said it was out for delivery in the morning but then it was never delivered. The tracking was never updated either. I waited until Monday to call the post office, in case the driver initially missed it. When I called Monday, the guy said he would leave a note for the driver to talk with him and he would call me back that afternoon. Haven't heard anything back yet so I'm debating how many days I want to give them.

I've never had a problem before like this so it's a bummer it had to happen. Fortunately, these were very low end cards (the shipping cost more than the cards themselves) so if they are lost I won't be heartbroken. I'm guessing COMC won't reimburse me on my shipping?

I just looked at one that I had sold thru eBay for $2.50 and found it but it was a little buried in the search results even though I had all words from the listing title in the search.

I don't think the sales show on sortsof and in completed/sold items when there are drop down options. I've seen comc listings where it's only one card but it has a drop down to choose.
