I’m just glad I wasn’t the only one.

The poors have a hard time relating to me, and I have a difficult time understanding their challenges in the hobby.

It’s also the reason why the degenerate gamblers don’t go broke - they reload every two weeks on payday.

Payday every two weeks? We can cash out our stock options whenever we want.

This will end and already mostly has. Low interest financing dried up. Tens of thousands out of tech on layoffs. Many tens of thousands more laid off in finance. At some point you have to accept current pricing even though it does not match reality. Still lower than a year ago and well within correction time.

Credit card debt is still at an all time high.

Delinquencies are now higher than COVID.

I expect mass welfare stimmies this year to buy votes.

Won't work, too late. There are too many people in pain and now it is going to those not born here.

Card market won't dissipate much from here. Stealing and flipping doesn't hurt for those who did it. Still gets in market.

Before looking at the demographics of the top 1% in the U.S., it's important to understand just how much this portion of the U.S. population earns: an individual would need to earn an average of $401,622 per year in order to join the top 1%, and a household would need an income of $570,00.
Household was close to the $819k number. Going to have to sell more sports cards in 2024!

"Nationally, households that make $652,657 are considered among the top 1%. " The $800k number was from 2021 while the 600k number is from mid 2023. Didnt check if one was median vs average.

At any rate, might be hard to hand out checks right now, congress aint sending free money out to anyone, so it would have to be at some sort of state level.

Yeah he makes almost a million annually and still has time to post an average of 16 times a day on the blowout message board. Life is good.

You guys always overestimate the amount of time it takes to comment if you’re willing to comment on almost anything.

Question: at shows and stuff are we seeing nice looking/limited stuff stay steady and/or go up, or is it still a bloodbath?

Median teacher salary in the US is 62k. Keep in mind you also have benefits like health, vision, and dental insurance, employer retirement contributions, life insurance, etc. Grade school teachers also don’t work year-round and are done with school in the early afternoon opening up opportunities for other jobs if desired.

I think there are few sports card dealers who can match that total compensation and work/life balance.

Once you get it, then you can brag about how great you are on a card forum

The big breakers probably have the nicest work/life balance of almost anyone in the country. 10 minutes to bust a case of Diamond Icons for a $4000 profit, repeat x 10 for the next 3 hours.

I don’t pay attention to that segment anymore, but who does most of the breaking? Does Blez actually break for Blez? I imagine most of the individuals breaking make next to nothing considering it’s a talentless job.

Not sure where exactly the money goes but the markup over factory costs is huge.

I know Layton was outed as a front for Peach State Distro (or was it Southern hobby?), so they were taking all their factory allocations and just breaking it on their own, instead of distributing it to their accounts.
