How is that any different that the ball going out on the sideline. Should the D get the ball if they forced the fumble?

I already explained it in my post, there are different rules in the endzone versus the field of play. Again I ask if this happened on the other end of the field why should the defense get 2 points and then the ball when they never got possession of it? It is the same thing on either side of the field. If the offense fumbles and it goes out of the side of the endzone there needs to be a downside for not protecting the ball and an incentive to the other team for causing the offense to lose the ball.
