The weekend is definitely best as that is when most people will be available. It can be moved to a Saturday or maybe later in the afternoon at a later date. Everyone should pre-rank their players anyways, but the draft is always most fun when everyone is there.

The "cant-cut" list is relatively small from my experience. It's mostly to keep someone from getting angry with their poor performing team and dumping players they shouldn't. Only guys like Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers, Calvin Johnson, etc. end up being on the list. Guys like Dwayne Bowe, Greg Jennings, Michael Turner, etc. won't be on it. We can get rid of it though, just wanted to explain it more thoroughly.

I put Commissioner review as far as trades go. Only those trades that are deemed lopsided by the league majority (5 or more not including the traders of course) should be rejected IMO. Nobody likes an overbearing commissioner so every trade will go to the people.

The Waiver time means that people have 2 days in which to put a waiver claim on a dropped player. Once the 2 days are up, the player is made a free agent and anyone can grab him regardless of waiver position.

You are actually already correct on how the waivers will work. Rosters lock on Sunday once the games start (if there is a game on Thursday, only those players playing on that day are locked) and unlock for waivers on Wednesday morning. This is all done automatically. Wednesday morning the waivers process in order of standings starting from the bottom and all players not claimed are free agents.

I had a problem with the cant cut list last year.

Drafting Peyton in the 7th round (took a chance thinking he would play) and he was on the cant cut list the whole year. Really screwed me up

not a big fan of your commissioner, he should have removed peyton from your roster at your request.

Completely hypothetical situation, but say it's Sunday afternoon and Arian Foster is injured. Naturally, everyone is going to want Ben Tate on their team. Everyone can put in a waiver claim for him but the team with the worst record will be the team that is rewarded him come Wednesday morning regardless of when the claim was put in. If for some reason, nobody puts in a claim, anyone can then pick him up on Wednesday morning.

No. Waivers need to run off your FAAB budget. We each get $100. We need that for the whole year. Waivers clear Tuesday night. Then, you can add/drop at any time prior to waivers locking.

Thus, no continuous waivers.

Also, there should be no "no cut list".

Finally, rosters and waivers don't lock on the first game of the week or even on the first Sunday game.

I don't mind either, but PPR has a tendency to make the unspectacular performance appear spectacular and that can be bothersome for a lot of people.

We are talking about a format where:

15 rushes for 100 yards, 3 catches for 20 yards and a TD

gets outscored by another guy who goes:

19 rushes for 50 yards, 9 catches for 50 yards

FAAB has a tendency to allow the rich to get richer. A waiver system more like those used in professional sports is most fair imo. But, as always, majority rules. Any other thoughts?

Note: When I say "Wednesday morning" it technically is Tuesday night as I believe waivers process at midnight. We can ditch the no cut list, I just don't really see the point, nobody is hopefully going to be dropping an Arian Foster anyways.

Rosters do and should lock on the first Sunday game of the week. Your lineup does not, if you have an injury concern you should have a replacement on hand. If you all prefer to have a race to your computer whenever you hear about an injury, that of course can be changed as well. From my experience, that tends to lead to problems between league members.
