Payment Invoices have been sent out. Of course we still need to fill the last few slots, but that should not be a problem.

Thanks
Tom

15 LEFT! I am probably signing off soon, but hope to see it full by tonight!

Payment info has been sent, get those payments in! Once they are all in, I can buy the case and also have a mod randomize the draft order so you guys can see who you got.

I used a site a while ago for live chats, Gabbly. I think that is where our LIVE DRAFT will be held.

We also need to start figuring out a time for the draft when most of us can be here. You can prerank lists, or you can have me select for you using my prerank list. I do have a tight baseball schedule but tentatively right now, I have games on: 7/7 7/9, other days should be free unless we add some games.

Tom

Do you plan on marking down who has paid and who hasn't on the first post?

Can you explain how the draft is going to work please. I am curious as to whether or not you are going to randomize the entire 185 slot list, or are you going to randomize the 16 or so people in the draft and then just go up and down the list like a fantasy draft? I am just curious, becasue it would suck to have your 6 slots all fall below 100, b/c you are going to be getting crap.

Cody. I'm with Guru. Here is how I thought this was going to work. Someone non partial to the break (given the list of mods, I'm suggesting/recommending Tony to do the randomizations as I'm part of the break). Everyones slot will be randomized (by solt holders). Once thats list has been posted, we can all work on who we'd like to pick in the draft. Then come "draft night" the slot holders pick a player from the case in the order they are on the list. Next guy gets to pick and so forth (as guru said, basically a fantasy draft...except everyone gets picked right down to the 185th slot).

that would be horrible if you get all your picks in between 150 - 185.

Dont forget though...hit a red refractor and its not so bad. Plus its a very solid draft class so whos to know who is going to be the next Pujols/Maddux, etc. These cards are only 2 years old, and not even 5-10% of these players are in the bigs yet (and most are the top prospects in their organizations).

x3

You can't randomize only the list of participants, in lieu of all 185 slots, since we don't all have the same number of "draft picks". By randomizing all 185 slots, each person has a fair shot at the top spots, based on the number of spots they purchased. Once that is done, it should shake out like a fantasy draft, with folks like Price, Heyward, etc. on top and goofballs like Kendrick and Pie left to the members who drew #s in the 180s.

Randomizing the spots seems like the easy part, especially if we get a non-participating Mod involved. I'm interested to hear how the logistics of the draft will shake out. While I'd love to do it live, it depends on the date and time (as it will for all of us). I assume the draft will be a mix of "live" (chat-based) and "pre-sort lists", which Johan will manage. Is that correct?

Really looking forward to this... way to announce your presence with a bang, Santana!

Nick,

I respectfully disagree, I wouldn't rip these, sort them, package them, print labels and postage and mail them for $150.

But that's just me.

How are we going to get everybody on for 6 hours?

Why not just randomize all the slots and assign numbers 1-185 to the checklist. Then the player next to your slot is your for the case.

But to pick 1, 2, 3, 4, .......78, 79, 80..........124, 125.......183, 184, 185. Would take a long time.

we should start a new thread for the draft. After the draft order has been made, make a thread with the draft order, and keep updating it on the front page. just start with the person with the first pick, and they post their player, then the second pick post their player, and so on. It might take a few days to finish the draft, but it could be done.

I wouldnt expect this to last more 2 maybe 3 hours if you can make the draft time. 30 sec to a min per pick and you just post your pick (for ustream for example).
