Here's an interesting read from a few years ago when I decided to get my entire portfolio/complete set sent to me. I was surprised back then that they still had them held in my account. It wasn't cheap to get them sent.

I think this is gaining steam and guys are realizing that they are being taken advantage of. I also find it odd that many collectors didn’t even know of this cash out deal. I only saw it because there is a group on facebook and they made a post. Supposedly there was an opportunity in June to get your cards delivered at a lower rate, but how did people find out about that?

My emails to the topps upper management have still gone ignored. I encourage everyone to voice your displeasure to Ryan OHara who is the CEO.

Even this current shutdown email wasn’t sent to many people

Sounds like there was a standing offer if you reached out to CS. You could have the cards shipped without the one touches at a discount vs then posted shipping rates. But now the posted rate is the only option AND that is without the one touches. Hell, the portfolio buyout option seems to have been on the table for at least a year.

Maybe people were hoping that topps did the right thing.

Dear Customer, we made you a promise a long time ago that we would hold your eTopps cards in the vault and that you could trade them and monitor their value online. We can no longer do that and must break that promise. We will be shipping your cards to you so that you can do with them what you want.

How hard is that? When people put money down on these cards, those were the rules. If Topps needs to bail on that, then they should pay the price, not the collector. In what world do we live in, that the collector thinks this is ok?

Topps decision to hold these cards hostage for many many years is the problem here. I guess they were just going to wait us out until the cards weren’t worth anything?

I don’t see why collectors are bending over on this.

something like "if you've still been active on the site over the past year [We will be shipping your cards to you so that you can do with them what you want]" would have made a lot of sense IMO. And then once those are out of the warehouse, see how much inventory is left and if you're short, it's not AS big of a deal, because those people weren't checking their account anyways.

I had a follow up from topps CS.

You can now order your portfolio via USPS. They removed the restrictions on it. No longer just three cards with a value under $30.

Enjoy

Can anyone tell me what the USPS rates are for shipping. I'm no longer able to see now that I checked out.

Thank you in advance,

Jeff

(1) the Immutability of NFT guards against this exact thing

(2) Topps already rug-pulled all of its customers a long time ago on Wax. Had their first NFL release made millions, had a second release made millions agains and then said see-ya we're gonna go to some #@#@#@#@ AVX platform (I presume so they could get a higher % of secondary fees) and left a whole bunch of people holding bags of what they thought (and were promised) would be 1st gen release

But anyone that knows the history of what Topps did on WAX would have 0 faith/trust in Topps in any NFT/Epack/digital waller going forwrd

got my e-mail; today:
Action Needed: eTopps Program is retiring
Hello,

Thank you for being a long-time, loyal eTopps customer. Over the last year, we have been carefully evaluating our current product offerings, keeping in mind our collectors’ best interests. In order to focus our efforts and resources on other exciting products, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the eTopps program.

With that, we’d like to share that the program will be coming to an end on 09/30/2025. Please take the following steps to close out your account before the deadline.

Log in to your eTopps account
Close out portfolio by taking store credit or delivery of items (full details below)
If no selection is taken by 09/30/2025, your account will be locked. You will forfeit your portfolio, and store credit will be the only option available.

We understand there is a passionate eTopps community, but we’ve not been able to stay in touch with you all! Please help spread the word to your fellow collectors, especially those who may no longer check the email associated with their eTopps account.

If you have any questions, please visit topps.com/support. This message is subject to our Terms of Use.

Thanks,

Topps Customer Service

Shut Down Details

Log in to your eTopps account by 09/30/2025 and close out your portfolio as soon as possible. To help with this process, we are offering two options:

1. Exchange part or all of your portfolio for topps.com store credit on a “per card” basis at a rate of $1.50. Please note, you will need to create a topps.com account if you do not already have one to receive this credit.

a. Store credit should be applied to your topps.com account within approximately 10 business days.b. Your store credit will expire one year from the date it is applied to your topps.com account.

2. Take delivery of your full portfolio of cards with standard S&H costs. Due to high order volume, shipments may take longer than usual to arrive.

a. Please note, due to the age of the program, there may be items we won’t be able to fulfill due to their condition. In those cases, we will offer store credit or an equal value substitution.

b. Please note that base cards will not include plastic cases or eTopps stickers. All autographed cards and memorabilia will continue to be shipped in standard cases with authentication stickers and letters, where applicable. Topps reserves the right to modify packaging methods or materials as necessary. Packaging does not impact the authenticity or value of the cards. All shipments are subject to availability and the condition standards outlined in our Terms of Use.

c. Please note that you will not receive any follow-up emails with shipping updates or tracking information. To view order information and updates, log in to your eTopps account.

If you have unused eTopps points, we will convert those to topps.com store credit at a rate of $0.25 per point. Please note, the conversion rate is non-negotiable, and having an active topps.com account is required to receive credit.

Anyone who knew the history of what Topps did to eTopps would have avoided ALL those things.

Topps still owes me one card from my account that was out of stock in 2021 when I took delivery of the remaining cards in my portfolio? How is that possible? To make matters worse, I have contacted them and get no response or even an option to substitute it. The card they owe me is a 2004 Wayne Rooney England Rookie Card that has been selling for over $100+ since I asked for delivery in 2021. The card doesn't show up in my account and I have emailed them countless times with a copy of the packing slip showing Backordered. Anyone have any success getting anyone to help in these matters?

Yeah, they lost all the Rooneys a while ago.

Too bad they can't just send an etopps sticker for each card they send so we can put the cards in Mags

$5.75 for the first card, and $1.10 for each additional.
