What I want to know and this probably isn't the thread for it, why doesn't Topps ever acknowledge the issue with bots? I know they do EQL drops from time to time but that seems to only be on very limited product.

I see that Topps never responds to their Twitter/X posts when people complain so has anyone ever questioned Topps directly and got a response from them?

You wont get an answer. I've beat this to death in other threads recently, but EQL is used on limited releases that they deem will do well and want to backdoor 97%+ of stock straight to breaker channels while not pissing off us. Instead of fighting for boxes with 2 second sell outs and us getting mad, its simply, "Oh well, I wasn't picked in the EQL lottery." EQL + Fanatics is a pure scam.

I do figure EQL is a scam because I know you have to be on discord to see the winners, but the rest of it is really hush hush. There should be a live drawing and/or results page so I do agree that most of it is backdoored as well.

Just sucks overall when you are really truly wanting to buy something at a good price and can't get it and of course Topps got their money so they don't care.

Just confirmed that a supplier of mine has reserved a case for me, it should be rrp aswell . This week they also sold me a case of 2025 Marvel Chrome for £225 a box

On this product you most likely are fine. Your biggest issue will probably be will the person cancel the order because the case went up so much later on. However, I'm surprised there has been virtually zero discussion about the Topps sealed case situation. I have been burned once but did get my money back. With rare exceptions I only want to buy sealed cases. Sometimes for good reasons other times for no reason sealed cases usually have a pretty big premium. The only situations I will buy Topps sealed cases are from a known supplier and almost always preorder or around release. How often are you going to be able to buy something from them in demand at release for a good price?

The way Topps ships cases there are multiple issues. They don't double box the cases. I have received multiple cases with pretty bad damage. A couple to the point I had to open the case to make sure the boxes weren't damage. Also had more than 1 with a chunk taken out that you could see what was inside. These bums are so cheap they can't even double box the cases. They should at least give you an option after you purchase to select you want it double boxed for $5 or $10. Continuously shipping cases where some are worth over $10,000 a case not double boxed is beyond words ridiculous.

This may be a one time thing but MLS 30th Anniversary cases last week were all shipped in regular packaging. No case format and no markings on the box as to what was inside. If this becomes the standard going forward it's obviously a major issue. Even if it's a one time thing right now at some point Im sure shipping single boxed cases will become an issue. At some point shipping employees are going to be able to decipher what the markings on these cases are. Im sure Topps ships these with zero insurance and nothing is next day mail. Imagine an employee knowing when something like Diamond Icons is shipping and easily being able to see which packages they are? Knowing it's a high value item with no way of getting caught reselling the item if you're smart, no insurance, not shipped in a fast shipping method. Prime candidate for theft.

Here comes the biggest issue. I'm sure you are aware. How Topps seals these cases is a joke. Literally any person on earth could reseal them. All Topps uses is regular tape. As mentioned, I was burned on this once. I only knew because I had other cases that were the same product and knew the weight was off. If a bot user is stealing the product to buy it what would make anyone think they aren't going to steal your money too? Look at Panini case sealings versus Topps case sealing.

The way Topps/Fanatics goes about everything they are selling hobby product wise right now is the worst it has ever been for any normal buyer wanting to purchase directly from the company making these products.

Haha yeah, that's definitely a concern. I bought 9 boxes of 2025 Topps Disney Gensis off a random person at ~$300 per (when resale was much more at the time of release) and they still shipped so I'll remain hopeful that I don't encounter any issues with this purchase (different seller though).

Same issue here. I added 3 to my cart, went to checkout and of course "out of stock". Kept trying and 1 was added to my cart and when I went to checkout I got a "product does not ship to your location" message which does not make sense. I rarely buy wax, specifically hobby boxes but as a die-hard boxing fan, was really looking forward to ripping. Congrats to those who were able to snag a box or two! I will end up purchasing from eBay. I may be wrong, but I think its best bet to wait it out a bit being prices should drop a bit due to others competing with each other. Very similar to other cards. Always sky high when first posted, when more show up on eBay, prices drop!

Hate him or love him Jake Paul autos (if included) are also just the type of thing to get casuals invested/interested in the product. It’s a perfect storm to where if they aren’t insanely priced they’ll get bought up immediately and be insanely priced anyway. Best hope would be they stay consistent with boxing sets and release a Finest or something on-card as the next release which would slightly drop prices likely due to the stickers here

Even though it was still technically a baseball product 2008 Topps Co-Signers had like 100 boxing related guys as auto subjects for some reason.
