I only collect basketball, soccer and some UFC. Basketball selection is fine, UFC is underwhelming and so is Soccer. It's all about the extra hits.

I was going to buy 2 in Chicago but now I'm probably only going to buy 1. Incredible that they knew word would get out before Chicago and still didn't juice the shipped boxes a bit.

Sport Kings, WNBA, Goodwin....not good.

With the $50 price increase, I'm surprised to see things like the Athletes Unlimited and 2017 donruss nascar. This stuff has some bas blaster which is to be expected, but some of these are flat out awful.

I'm curious, are you fond of what you see here? For an extra $50, the selection is now actually worse than before. These aren't blasters that have suddenly gone up or are desirable. Just the opposite in fact. Last 2 were good, this one early on looks terrible.

I've seen all the ones opened here. I ordered 24 of these and I am not disappointed at all at what I've seen. On the contrary, I am happy I bought mine and excited to open them after the National. When you get 20 blasters for $250, what are you expecting them to send you? If you took the worst of these blasters and put them out at a show for $10-$15/they would sell in a flash. That gives you a pretty good floor for the chance to hit something bigger. I may buy more of these at the show.

I guess some people will complain about anything, but the value is absolutely here.

I don't know why anyone would buy one of these and get mad when opening they did not get what they expected. It's a mystery box. For $250 are people expecting to hit high end boxes? These are to be opened for fun. Anyone buying this has to expect you likely will not make money off the box but get a bunch of boxes to open and rip for fun. If you do it like that it's worth the money. If you go in as a degenerate gambler expecting to make money off it you won't enjoy it.

So, at this point, this is what I am thinking:

1) Yes, it was an extra $50, so a 25% increase, so I would hope there would still be decent value, but also know that everything has increased in cost over the last year.

2) Did they add more bonuses, or at least the combined value of the bonuses, no clue, the hit rate is supposedly the same, but we will never know if they decreased, increased or it stayed the same. But if they did increase it, I would welcome the $50 increase.

3) I know going in, what the potential is...the sell sheet shows some of those blasters and last year, I think every one of my blasters had a goodwin champions and others I would never buy on my own in it, so I know the chances are that I will get 2 crappy boxes and hopefully a box with a bonus. I did sell off some of the blasters to offset the cost of the gamble.

4) This has been 4 boxes posted, you're going to have people who bought 5 boxes and got skunked and complain, and you'll have people who bought 1 box and hit a case.

5) Realistically, what does $50 buy you in unopened wax these days...2 blasters at Target? I'll take a chance on getting a bonus prize

If someone is going to gamble, know the risks going in and be fine if things are ugly, rejoice if things are pretty...just my thoughts

I'm going off of the release from late last year. Many boxes had the ESPN Mets box and a Trevor Lawrence topps box, right there you had $80-90 in value off the top towards the $200 buy in. Doesn't appear to be the case here. I like the prior 2 they did in this format. This one, the floor seems alot lower than before. Just my opinion. And yes, i have plenty of these coming.

It’ll be interesting to see what others get. The holiday Mix was $225 so this is a $50 increase from last year’s National edition and $25 from the holiday one. From the four posted the mix of blasters isn’t as appealing but that could change once more people share. I would agree with Cruiser that the floor seems lower so far. I’ve got three on the way so we will see!

So they went to the 10-20 blaster box format last year, I believe they were 200. Those were excellent even getting some Bowman U Football half hobby boxes and Bowman U basketball blasters, plenty of Bowman blasters and some nice bonus hits. The Holiday Version came out at 230ish and they were still ok but much more UFC/WWE/Soccer blasters (also had the Mets sets and Trevor Lawrence boxes as Cruiser pointed out) and the bonus hits were pretty good but not quite as juicy. I personally wished there were more of the major sports rather than UFC/WWE/Soccer but had no problem finding buyers for those. The 2025 from this sample was 250 each and I have to say disappointing overall blasters there, I am certainly hoping for better selection in my boxes but like others said, if you hit a nice bonus prize then the blasters don't really matter too much. Anyway seems like each rendition has had less and less baseball so I guess I will be flipping most of this to recover the investment.

Glad I bought an Edge of Eternities Collector Box instead of this. Anyone saying the value is there is seeing things I am not. I'm seeing a lot of unlicensed boxes that produce a whole lot of firewood and bike spoke fodder.

Thing is, doesn't matter, raise the price, people will still gobble them up with out a second of hesitation.

I agree. A $50ish blaster in these is above expected from a non bonus item. I'd be happy to see one going into football season with that RC class.
