A major retailer paying $12k for a case right now, so probably not a good sign for what they’re going to try to sell these for…seems ridiculous to me. I’ve definitely cooled on it after seeing the checklist and the non-patch autos. Feels like the idea was awesome but not the execution

So maybe you all can help me here on the logic of buying into these high risk PYP breaks. For example, I saw a three case break that had Andres Iniesta for $700. Good player, poor card prices typically. So someone paid $700 for a ~2% chance of hitting a card (guessing, but it's low regardless) vs. just waiting until someone posts a card and likely get it for $300-400 max.

So this is just a gambling addiction right? A real Iniesta collector wouldn't waste money on a small chance and would just the buy the card right?

How many $15k cards are in this product? I’m honestly asking, I really don’t know and I can’t look at the checklist because the topps site isn’t loading for me!

I assume the Messi and potentially the Cristiano patch autos (assuming that’s the mystery redemption) sell for more than the mkt case price. Some of the 1/1 patch autos should too, I think. Maybe the 1/1 dual autos, despite the lack of patches? Maybe 25-50 boxes out of the 5000 boxes pay for a case? Just guessing…perhaps I’m totally underestimating how much demand there is for some of those rare patch autos.

Taking it one step further... at 12k-15k per case, thats 2.4k-3k per box. How many 2.4k cards are in the product? Aside from Messi, or maybe a few of the 1/1, I would venture to say < 5% of the total product run.

These cases have a terrible ROI and no one seems to know what the market price for a single box is. I've seen various prices so far. Was anyone able to see the price on Topps US?

LOL wow, I can't believe what some of these breakers are charging for a box. These secondary prices should drop once the big cards are pulled or people actually see what's in a case and realize it's not as short printed of a set as people expected.

First few singles up on ebay-- $15K for a Luis Figo, $6K for a Neymar, $1,800 for a Kane, and $1,200 for a Scholes. Looks like we may have to be patient for awhile before we see listings that make any sense.
