Chargers are one of those teams with all the tools but lacking that winning mentality. Harbaugh will force that into them. Problem is they are in cap hell and in 2025 they will be in cap hell again having to resign Herbert. They either make very wise decisions this year and go on a run with some restructures or I see a 3 year wait.

Just waiting for official headlines on this one.

Hope Harbaugh doesn’t pull a Toronto Blue Jays Ohtani move on us.

Will the Chargers be willing to wait 7 years for him to win the division and beat the Chiefs? Let's be honest his Michigan tenure ends on a high note but it mostly was a disappointment given the initial hype.

LOL no. If they'd lost the Natty then maybe.

People thought he was going to immediately make Michigan a title threat. Instead it took him 7 years just to win the Big 10 and notch his first win against OSU. For years, the national narrative was that he was a big disappointment. He was almost fired.

Just some food for thought with all the ridiculous talk about how he's such a big winner, culture changer, the Chiefs window just closed, etc.

You have player control until after 2029. He will have 6 seasons to figure it out.

Should get a 6 yr contract just like DeMeco. I'd argue the product got worse because of the coaching instability and all the quick fires.

The new team to beat in the afc west. Condolences to everybody else in that division.
Rightfully So....our mediocre coach and lucky QB run id over....Chargers are the team to beat now....was a fun run while it lasted ....Honestly might help us move on to a better QB....Herbert taking his rightful place at number 1 just seems right.

Trade Herby to Minnesota for a boatload of picks and rebuild from the ashes I say.

Will never happen, would love to see Herbert in the NFC with Jefferson and Addison though.

Michigan's loss is LA's gain. I believe he will do very well there.

The Chargers just received that “IT” factor. The Chargers are in the mix.

I assume he brings in his own staff? Or is he keeping anyone from the previous staff? Is he just coach or getting more?

Does anyone else think it's a bit messed up a coach can just cheat, win, and then leave while facing no repercussions and a possibly get a better paying gig? The old company gets hit with sanctions, but you're on to the new one. I know Pete Carroll did the same thing, it just seems wrong.

It’s the Teflon-maneuver, coach Carroll was a master at it.
