Yup. Foreman shut the door on Ekeler. Maybe the Bears just wouldnt bite on his price.

Giving Foreman a one year deal, to me, says they are set to lead with Herbert and draft a new RB this year.

Foreman has made a career out of being a stop gap!

Houston Texans (2017–2018)
Indianapolis Colts (2019)*
Tennessee Titans (2020)
Atlanta Falcons (2021)*
Tennessee Titans (2021)
Carolina Panthers (2022)
Chicago Bears (2023–present)

I think Poles get roasted if he does that. They have Herbert set up to be the guy, and he is still under his rookie contract for the next 2 seasons.

If they pick a RB top 10, that will shatter their relationship with him. And honestly, of all the Bears needs. RB isnt one of them.

If both Anderson and Carter are gone by 9. I bet the Bears grab Jaxon Smith-Njigba for Fields. So he gets to play with his buddy. It almost makes too much sense, as both Claypool and Mooney are up after next season.

And if the Bears have to pay market rate for a WR, they will freak out.

Could you imagine the Bears paying the going rate for a flanker or split end?! The franchise nearly imploded when they franchise tagged Alshon Jeffery.

I remember when Greg Olsen was due a "real" contract. The Bears couldn't dump him quick enough in a lopsided trade. With only a year left, all they got was a third rounder from the Panthers.

Olsen went on to 3 straight Pro Bowls with them, and back to back All Pro seasons.

Nah, he sucks.

Good signing, will pair nicely with Kmet in dual TE sets. Lost a step when he blew out his knee...still a solid pass catcher but not as dynamic. Being a Chicago area kid I'm sure he'll be happy to be there.

470 yards, 2 TDs.

Is he one of the weapons Aaron did have and didn’t want or didn’t have and does want?

I just read this, and it seems kinda mean...

Lions sign RB David Montgomery (3 years, $18 million): MILLEN Grade
I'm a big fan of the Lions' 2023 outlook, and I've enjoyed their offseason thus far. I graded their cornerback signings very favorably. Unfortunately, I'm going to change my tune here because I hate this signing.

David Montgomery sucks. The Bears even knew it because they began giving carries to Khalil Herbert over Montgomery last year until Herbert got hurt. Montgomery is just like a million other running backs on the market, so there was no reason to pay him more than the minimum. An $18 million contract is insane for Montgomery.

Which really seems out of the blue. Its almost as if Poles is looking for players that grew up here, and were Bears fans. TJ Edwards was from Chicago, and he grabbed em. Jack Sanborn the same thing. And now this guy.

The salt has returned! Who wrote the original text? Matt Millen?

And his name was Bobbay.

Jamaal would still be a Lion if he had a different agent.

Even without the Bears the NFC North is the saltiest division in all the land

Jamaal's downfall was his agent's gall to stall, brawl, and bawl that his client was a thrall who needed the ball and deserved a windfall—filling the Lions with appall and the wherewithal to scrawl a small, banal haul and leave him with his back to the wall.
