Bryce will be a great QB in a couple of years. Obviously he needs WR's and an O-line in order to be, so, get to work Carolina management.

It wouldn't matter if it was Cam, Brock Purdy or Mahomes on this team, the 2023 Panthers would still suck.

and like you said too, i think Stroud got into a great situation in Houston with the right structure going forward. i believe their GM was with the Patriots before, Nick Caserio, and then you took the 49ers DC, DeMeco Ryans, and have glued two successful organizations into one down in Houston.

they did it the right way. idk what Carolina is doing on the other hand. tough spot for Bryce Young.
So if Carolina hired some coach affiliated with SF, Young would be good. Got it.

ever? no. too soon to tell.

49ers for Lance
Ditka for Ricky Williams
Vikings for Herschell Walker

those all rank up there right now

Oplum29 nailed it (although I always read your user name as opium):

Ricky Williams for an entire draft will ALWAYS be the worst trade ever.

Vikings trade for Herschel Walker is next.

No love for Washington trading three 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick to the Rams to select RG3?

I'd argue Ricky Williams had a superior career to Robert Griffin.

I said it during the pre-draft process that I hoped Bryce wouldn't go first overall because the Panthers were already a dumpster fire of a roster. Hoping he has an actual opportunity at some point. Gonna take some good chess moves by the GM.

Isn't the owner part of the issue? So what guarantee is there that as long as Bryce is a Panther, he will ever see his full potential?

So we’ve discovered Bryce needs: a better owner, better teammates, better coaches.

Easy peasy.

I don't think I've heard anyone on tv yet say any of this is Bryce's fault. Which seems dumb. Everyone making excuses for him. Not sure why he gets a free pass. He shouldn't.

And the list of "stellar" quarterbacks in the NFL is Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, who else?

Hurts, Burrow, Tua, Purdy, Dak, Herbert, Allen, Cousins, Jackson, Goff, etc. All surrounded by talent.

Go check stats and W/L on Hurts before Brown. Burrow before Chase. Allen without Diggs. Dak without CeeDee. Tua without Hill. Cousins without JJ. etc.

In the same way Bama’s QB has better stats than Penix?

How did Tom Brady do throwing to guys like Troy Brown as his top weapon? Remember his other wr's? David Givens? Reche Caldwell? Deion Branch? He didn't always have a Welker, Moss, and Edelman

He also consistently had some of the top defenses in the league until he DID get some help in the skill positions. New England also HEAVILY invested in the offensive line for the better part of 20 years.

Neither of which Young has the benefit of to this point.

No argument there. But also, let's be real, Bryce Young is likely never going to be in the same universe as Brady however.

So the D helped him set passing records

Nobody is knocking Bryce’s w/l record.

Please, lay out each and every passing record Brady set from 2001-2006.

Yes, the owner is always part of the issue. I don't know too much about him so I can't comment there. I'll do some research.

Based off of the thread title, my answer is, Bryce will be a successful NFL quarterback. Whether it's with Carolina or not is irrelevant as the question is not specific to his time with the Panthers.

EDIT: Yeesh, a quick Google search did not provide optimism for the Panthers future. However, we'll see what the future holds.

Led the league in TDs his second full season.

Because of his defense

Let’s just throw it out there: every Bama player in your eyes is the best ever and you’ll die on that hill. You were right on Tua, who needed two AllPro type WRs and a mad scientist HC to thrive, but he’s doing it.

Bryce hasn’t shown arm strength or accuracy up to now. Plus his short stature is a real issue despite the fun people poke at it.

Now, if you really believe in him, make your Call and become a Blowpit legend!

I'll make the call! With some caveats:

1. They, the Panthers, find the right head coach.
2. They, the Panthers, find high end NFL caliber WR's.
3. They, the Panthers, find a top tier RB.
4. They, the Panthers, find a top tier TE.
4. They, the Panthers, become the 49ers.
