Bundesliga and MLS stuff even cheaper.

That's where I personally think all the low, low-mid should be at, give or take a few bucks. Optic, Prizm, Donruss, Flagship, Chrome. Stadium Club, Merlin.

Base is absolutely worthless. Nobody cares about patches or memorabilia unless it is something extremely cool. Autos are massively overpriced, Parallels have got way out of hand, and case hits don't feel special anymore in the slightest.

Card design is getting worse each year.

Ok. So, even though the sample size is small, I think $60-$120 are the boundaries.

I agree. If PL Prizm was $60 I would buy. I can see people buying at $120 with the Haaland chase.

$270 is insanity, for all the points mentioned above.

I agree (gulps) with YayNJ on all his thoughts on pricing for lower value products. To me that's the sweet spot for the industry, and they are collectively missing the opportunity to grow the base.

The high end is the high end, and it should remain that way, but the pricing of mid-level and low-end cards in 'soccer' has to change. Maybe Fanatics understands this?

High end is equally out of whack. $21K for an Eminence case is bonkers. Even if you hit Messi or Mbappe you are losing $5-10K.

Seeing some early break pictures floating around. The base/parallel design looks pretty clean, better than some recent years. Flashback autos though look tacky and I still don't get the point of Groovy.

Fanatics does NOT understand this....just ask people from the baseball forums.

Keep in mind that Fanatics is a company run by tech bros and their VC buddies that has primarily grown by buying up other companies and from all appearances has no clue about the operational side of things.

As long as breakers keep on buying every product released at inflated prices, Fanatics has no reason to lower wax prices.

No doubt. That's about as boring of a huge 1/1 as you can get. Overall the card design looks pretty good. I just realized no gold vinyl, when did Panini stop those? Very dumb move.

Seeing a fair few Haaland autos already. Between Prizm, Revolution and the Topps on-demand boxes it looks like Haaland is not going to be shy about signing.

Seems like gold /10s and green /5s appear alot more often this year. Looks like they reduced the print run alot. Highest numbered is /199 i think? Compared to last year was /340 or /349 or something like that. I’ve seen cases with 4 golds and a green, sometimes 2 greens and 2 golds.

Definitely a lot better rip if you just wanna see numbered cards, still a little pricey though. Maybe once its gone around $150, it will be ok to rip. Certainly heaps better compared to last year where you barely gets any low numbered, and often missing case hits

Yep, highest print run on parallels don't mean much.

However, if golds/greens are falling 3 or 4 per case, that's a different story.

there's 42 different parallels this year. FORTY TWO. of those, 27 are numbered.

last year there were 31 different parallels, 23 were numbered.

all they have done is increased the parallels to give an illusion of scarcity, when the reality is... there's more of the stuff than ever before.

Caved and bought a hobby box. Generally I like the look of the cards better than last years' release. No good Arsenal hits unfortunately. Prizms were:

Geremi Flashback Auto #/25
Philip Billing Instant Impact #/25
Kurt Zouma Purple Mojo #/20
Che Adams Red Mojo #/99
Nathan Patterson Red #/149
Antonee Robinson Blue #/175
Gavin Bazunu Pink #/199

Also hit 4 silvers (3 base one insert), 4 multi-color, 2-3 Hypers and a Mojo.

Price ($250) was too high but I wanted to check it out. Centering and quality was okay. Agree w/ YayNJ above that adding the parallels makes it feel like you're getting better/low-#'ed hits but in reality, probably not the case. Really don't like that they changed up some of the past parallels (Orange was #/25 now to #/15, etc.) Interested to see where the price goes, I'll be waiting til it's down a good amount to rip any more personally.

I've participated in a couple of cheap breaks, mainly to observe, and ended up with 3 teams for $20 total, so no complaints there. I was pretty underwhelmed with the cards. The design is fairly meh overall and I find having the players' position at bottom instead of the team name to be a miss. I normally buy boxes but won't be buying this. I watched a total of 8 boxes get opened by 4 different breakers and there were 3 Haaland autos pulled. 1 to 99 and 2 to 199. Wild.
