2021 Bowman Blasters at $25 and any 2020-2021 Hobby box at $50 is a pretty good deal, yeah?

I hesitated on the 2016 TC Update Mega Box case for $350 per (3 available when I saw it).
Back in stock. Just bought one. One of these sold on eBay for $700 in August.

Thanks, grabbed a couple. That's too good of a price to pass up.

Urias, Schwarber, Corey Seager?? Looks like a bunch of middling guys longterm (at best). I have no idea why you would want it at this point.

It might not be the hottest names, but those are guys that still sell OK and for $21 a Mega it's hard to go wrong.

Be careful if you want/need to move when they arrive. You are using ebay comps for an item that does not sell often. Its an older product, so demand will be low. And now, there are already multiple people here loading up. The market is going to saturate for a demand that is already really low. You are going to have a hard time moving if that is your goal. Just a tip. Years ago I used to get caught in that trap too.

Disagree. I've had phenomenal success on these deals for the last few years, especially on these mega box sales. It's not a quick flip, but by April, it's easy money when the baseball market heats back up.

Yup ebay undercutting when stuff doesn't move right away is often a problem when Blowout has a high-volume discount sale like this.

Awesome, hopefully it continues to work out for you. Your spring sales are going to be 2023 though. This isn't the same 2020, 2021, or 2022 market anymore. Were you were able to do it prior to that because things have changed. These are cheap, and bulky to ship. That usually kills any potential margin when you add in fees and shipping. And again, that is when you find buyers. Buyers will be scarce for a product like this. That is why blowout still has so much of it.

It absolutely is. I have bought deals like this thinking it was a lock due to ebay comps. Boy was I wrong when it was all said and done. I try to learn from my mistakes, and that is one that I definitely will not be repeating. That same capital put into something newer moves so much better and at a much better margin.

I have had mixed results on doing this. Bought 2019 series 2 fat pack lots for $20 each and sold them on ebay for $35 each. Guy who did buy most of them ended up hitting a gold Tatis (before the suspension). I tried to do it again when it was $23ish each and only sold about half. Ended up getting inpatient and ripped the other half.

The first flip I did it within a month of getting it and the second time I "gave up" and ripped it after about 3 months of not selling it. Both were before the suspension happened.

If your patient, then you can move pretty much anything sealed as long as the checklist isn't terrible. I think now it is hard to get something in and be able to sell it for a quick profit now. People/collectors are going back to before 2018 mentality of buying value/what they love vs. getting caught up in the hype of players/sets.

Then if you say "I will just open it up and sell individual boxes", you lose the value of a sealed case. You may be able to move it faster individually, but you lose that premium (see what I did there) of a sealed case.

Yes, I was having success doing this back in 2015 and 2016 (and every year since). It's all about short term patience with these items.

I appreciate your advice as you are one of the few people who I truly listen to when you post. Definitely make a great point

Buy what you want and like but remember BO isn't doing this as a charity. If they could get $700 a case they would.

I usually look at checklists in case I have to hold and that checklist doesn't do it for me.

I've seen the sale on the site expire, then they put them on sale on ebay too. LOL. So everyone that just bought is automatically undercut before they even show up. Blowout is good at business. Simple as that. You will rarely get anything for under market because they know the market so well.

They simply set the market. Can't beat the machine.

I just try to share the good, the bad, and the ugly, with no angle. Too much advice is given in this hobby with a motive behind it. My only motive is to help. I have done about everything in this hobby, and I have a good feel for what works and what doesn't work. But that also changes. What works today may not work tomorrow. If I see something that may help I try to share so I can help others be successful too. Glad at least one person listens at times.

2021 Bowman has to be one of the worst Bowman releases in recent memory. I don't think it's any kind of deal myself.
