Is there any interest in his Showcase cards? Seems like they're still really cheap. Those are some of my favorite sets in football.

The answer to this is yes.

I'd say 300% increase in the last two weeks on the 1996 and 1997 row 1? Only ones I follow closely.

I’m getting some massive MJ FOMO even though I’ve known he’s been the goat since my birth

No bargains to be found. All good ones are being scooped up, most of them at BIN price. Glad I picked some before the surge. I had few more in my wish list but not sure if it is worth chasing them at current prices. The upcoming documentary and IG showoff have sparked a FOMO effect.

Lol. Oops. Found a decent deal on COMC. Offered $90 (was listed for $100). Got declined and relisted for $150. Oh well. Guy is probably raising the rest of his Jordans now too.

If it was a 1997 row 1, $150 is about right.

It wasn't but I was looking at those. Surprised the 97 is so much higher than the 96.

I can just imagine how busy the Guangdong factories are right now pumping out a slew of new base and insert fakes.

Should be able to buy 1000 lots of 90 Fleers on alibaba for $5 dlvd soon.

Are people REALLY buying Metal universe base cards for 150+ and mint graded copies for $700+? Please tell me these are being shilled. It's a nice enough base card, but there are dozens of other, rarer cards that can be had for less.

Well it is technically his Metal Universe rookie card.

We can soon place it up there amongst the 2012 Lebron Prizms of the world.

I think any MJ base card that has a 'iconic' parallel are good candidates for huge gains. Showcase has Legacy parallels. Also I think the earlier the better. So '96-97 Showcase over '97-98.

1997 Topps Chrome MJ
Too much name recognition and beauty in that card to not go up.

Love that card. I was lucky to get a refractor psa 10 last year at National.

Sorry. I just can't tell what's real and what isn't anymore. There is utter sillines all the way around. People paying 100s for Lebron prizm base, $6k for TC base rookies. Can't tell what is manipulation and what is just ignorance.

I received my MJ 1990 action packed graded today...so glad I snatched it this week. I got it for a reasonable price. I had to grab one before I regret not buying one sooner.

Just grabbed a 1995 Topps Holding Court Refractor. Although not the same pedigree as TC or Finest they are still quite affordable for a 1995 Jordan Refractor. The Silver Borders kind of have a TC vibe too. Excited to get it in hand!

I gave in to the recent price increase and sold my 1993 Scoring Kings PSA 9 for $1300 direct PayPal and then used that money to buy a raw one for $525 to replace it in my collection!

Mark my words, the card that will get the biggest boost from this documentary and these stimulus checks and IG hype and boredom buying will be the 1997-98 Fleer Metal Universe. You are already seeing it now. One 9.5 went for almost 1,600 today. Raw up almost 300% in 48hrs.

It's the perfect year, a stunning card and it will skyrocket. May maintain too.
